RowdyFan42
I know it's been kinda quiet around here today, and Internet radio will be the only way to follow the game (unless you like to sit around watching the scoreboard refresh every 2 minutes), but is anyone interested in a game thread? RowdyFan42
Clemmensen is in net for the Rats. Scratches - Phil Cole, Alex Brooks, Ahren Nittle, Ryan Murphy, Rob Skrlac Adrian Foster and Brett Clouthier didn't play last night but are in the lineup tonight. RowdyFan42
who wil be the starter for them this year ahonen or clemmenson My guess they'll do what they've done in previous years, which is treat them both as starters rather than designate one as the starter and the other as the backup. RowdyFan42
Fight - Clouthier vs. Godard Sounds like Godard won that one. He managed to get his right arm free and landed a monster punch on Clouthier.
RowdyFan42
End of the first, still 1-0 Bridgeport. Shots were 6-5 Rats.
Jas0nMacIsaac
2 - 1 Pikkarainen from Pariseeeeeeeeeeeee.....still down one but a good third can change that.
Fidgetess
Looks like our problem this year is going to be the penalty kill. Out of 6 goals scored against the Rats, 5 were PPGs. Thankfully, the season is young, and a broken penalty kill can be fixed.
RowdyFan42
Robbie is the master; he will solve the PK issue. Luckily, the AHL's weekend-heavy game schedule affords a lot of practice time.
Pepperkorn
so what kind of penalties were the kids taking? Getting rid of stupid penalties is one quick and easy way to fix a PK I'm skimming around looking for who got what -- can anyone provide a quick link or response? PeteyNice
I was at that game and it was not pretty. The Rats had scant chances and when they had them they almost always missed the net. The PP was typical Devils passing the puck around looking for the perfect play instead of just firing on the net. Bridgeport arena is nice, but the main scoreboards died in the second period and never really came back to full power. Also, I don't like no-jumbotron. The four small boards for replays are very small.
