As a professed Marxist, he should know the difference between the February Revolution, which overthrew the Tsar, and which the Bolsheviks did not participate in because most of them weren't even in the country at the time, and the October Revolution which was designed to prevent democratic elections in which Lenin's faction of the Bolshevik party (not even the whole Bolshevik party, or all socialist parties, but his FACTION) would have lost and been marginalized in a democratically elected, socialist government. I have to go home and prepare for an interview, and since I am being laid off in two weeks I'm afraid that takes precedence. But my point was that I have, on this board, seen Bruins, a professed Marxist, insist that LENIN overthrew the Tsar, when he wasn't even in Russia at the time of the February Revolution that made Nicholas abdicate the throne. The only future leading Bolshevik who was in Russia at the time was Stalin, and although he later re-wrote history to tell a different story, he did NOTHING in the February revolution. So people, including Bruins, see what they want to see, even when piles of history books clearly stating the facts are available for them to read. So please excuse me when I don't exactly jump and believe everything he writes. Now, I have an interview to prepare for so I can spend as little time on unemployment as possible. Well, Hitler did great things for Germany too. You claim to be so pro-humane and all-caring towards everyone yet you say Stalin was a great man despite murdering 80 million of his own people for absolutely no reason. It's good that you have strong beliefs and that you are involved in what's going on politically. The normal debates on this forum are Republican vs. Democrat. Yet you go far beyond that and argue that our entire system is bad and we should adopt Communism. Not even the most radical Republican or Democrat agrees with that cause even with all our differences, we all agree Capitalism is great and Communism/Marxism just flat out doesn't work. There were many riots, and acts of violence against Jews way back when. This resulted in the English enacting laws that would limit Jewish immigration to keep them a minority.
