LOTCB
A sad moment, but also a great and inspiring story about a kid who had a big heart and hopefully there will be a cure for this terrible disease someday. Hunter Kelly Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - The son of Hall-of-Fame Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly has lost his life-long battle with the genetic disorder Krabbe's Disease. 8-year-old Hunter Kelly was diagnosed with the rare, inherited disease of the nervous system when he was an infant. Globoid Cell Leukodystrophy is caused by a chromosomal defect. The Hunter's Hope Foundation, founded by Kelly in honor of his son and aimed at raising money for research to find a cure, has said they were notified this morning of Hunter's death. A public memorial is set for Tuesday from the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg. To send condolences to the Kelly family, click on the "WBEN Community Forum" link below.
