Cracker5
Well, Chad Johnson expressed that he wants to be back and play for the Dolphins in his hometown, Miami. He told Bill Parcells to, "call him, and stop playin' around." YouTube We all know Bill Parcells loves to win and builds winning football teams. Owner, Wayne Huizenga also loves to win. At 29, Johnson is still fairly young and definitely a player that you can revolve your offense around. However, Marvin Lewis expressed that Ocho Cinco will not be traded. Willl Lewis bite, or if Johnson doesn't try or holds out, will Lewis simply bench him? From what I've heard, a 2nd round pick could very well do, straight up. I would love to see the Dolphins trade their 54th pick (from the Chargers) for Ocho Cinco straight up. Therefore, that would mean it would be (my favorite player) Chris Chambers for Chad Johnson. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's an article I just dug up from late in the season, when Bill was just hired: Chad Johnson Eyeing the Dolphins Posted by Dan Zinski Published: December 28, 2007 - 4:23 PM Chad Johnson aka Ocho Cinco aka The Guy Who Ruined the Bengals wants out of Cincinnati (where his idiocy is not sufficiently appreciated), and says he would next like to play for his hometown Miami Dolphins and their new boss Bill Parcells. "Hey, that would be cool," Johnson said when asked what he thought of possibly playing for Miami. "Where's Parcells at? I need to win now. I've done a lot of things, I've broken a lot of records here, I got the yards, I've been to the Pro Bowl, and I'm kind of fed up with the same thing every year." "I need to win now," Chad said. He does realize that the Dolphins are 1-14, right? I guess he just has that much faith in Bill Parcells to turn things around. And yes, it's true that Parcells has a good track-record of reinvigorating floundering franchises. He made the Giants champs after years of irrelevance, set the Patriots on the road to becoming a dynasty, rehabbed the Jets for a time and built a Dallas club that this year, under Wade Phillips, is poised to make a Super Bowl run. Of course, Parcells didn't achieve all that success by being a dummy. He knows what the deal is with players like Johnson, the cancerous effect those guys can have on a locker room. And Parcells has declared unequivocally that he's not interested in dealing with that type of player at this late stage in his life. "I don't want thugs and hoodlums on the team," Parcells said when asked what sort of players he would be after for next season. "I really don't. I don't want bad-character guys. I don't want problem children." Guess that eliminates Ocho Cinco, the ultimate me-first football player. But that doesn't mean Ocho won't be able to find his way out of Cincy. I'm sure Marvin Lewis would be happy to accommodate him, and I'm sure there are teams out there who would like to have him. Like the Raiders, who will take anyone's garbage and pay handsomely for the privilege.
SatansDevils
Won't happen. The Bengals head coach Marvin Lweis already said that Ocho Cinco will remain in Cincinnati and won't be traded. Unless Ocho Cinco demands to be traded and holds out in Cincy.
MantaRay
Ocho Cinco, will become a ZERO since no one on Miami can throw him the ball.

nmigliore
Might we see Tom Brady in a fins uniform? And maybe Adrian Peterson..? Perhaps Johan Santana as well? Edited February 1, 2008 by nmigliore

nmigliore
Now that is hilarious. He will never leave the Patriots. Not after an undefeated season and a possible 4th SB.Miami has a better shot getting Dan Marino out of retirement.

TravisZajac
Ha lalala... Chad's being whinny. I can understand him somehow.. But he overractes. He said that only Palmer and T.J had his back last season, that everyone blamed on the Bengals mediocrity on him..(Blame more on the Coaching staff and the Defence.) The guy wants to win, and he knows it'll take more than 3years before seeing the Bengals into the Superbowl. He wants out.. He's also mad at T.j may get a bigger contract than his... And T.J making the Pro bowl.
