SatansDevils
Saturday, Dec 13, 2008. There are 11-games on tap today and tonight. A busy night in the NHL. Pittsburgh at Philadelphia - COMCAST - 1:00 PM Minnesota at Los Angeles - FOX WEST - 4:00 PM Atlanta at Boston - NESN - 7:00 PM Washington at Montreal - RDS, CBC - 7:00 PM Carolina at NY Rangers - MSG - 7:00 PM Tampa Bay at Ottawa - CBC - 7:00 PM NY Islanders at Columbus - FXSO - 7:00 PM Dallas at Nashville - FXSO - 8:00 PM Detroit at Phoenix - FOX ARIZ - 9:00 PM Vancouver at Edmonton - CBC - 10:00 PM St. Louis at San Jose - 10:30 PM There is one game tonight with the EC vs. WC match up with the NYI @ Columbus. There was one game last night with the EC vs. the WC match up with Florida wins over Calgary. EC vs. WC tracker. WC leads the EC 60-43 so far this season. There are 5-games in the EC and 5-games in the WC being played today and tonight. Pittsburgh is at Philadelphia where it is the battle of PA today. Both teams are in 2nd place in the division and this game the winner remains in 2nd place. This is the lesser of two evils so hopefully Pittsburgh wins this game IN REGULATION! Pittsburgh had a dismantling game over the NYI on Thurday night where Sykora and Dupuis had hat tricks in the win. Philadelphia played the game of their season on Thurday night being down 5-1 to Carolina and they came all the way back to win in the SO 6-5. Minnesota is at Los Angeles where Minnesota is on a little losing skid and lost a tough game on Thursday night to Phoenix. They look to bounce back with a win. Los Angeles had a blowout win over St. Louis on Thursday night and look to continue to win. Atlanta is at Boston in the second game in the home and home. Bosotn won last night in Atlanta and look for the home and home series sweep. Atlanta has just been terrible and can't buy a win these days. Washington is at Montreal where Montreal had a bad loss at home to Tampa Bay on Thursday night, look to bounce back with a win. Washington has been playing well and won their game last night over Ottawa as they look to win as many games in as many nights. Carolina is at the NYR where Carolina suffered a devastating loss on Thursday night to Philadelphia where they had the 5-1 lead and lost it in the SO 6-5. They look to bounce back vs. the NYR who got creamed by New Jersey last night. Hopefully Carolina won't blow this game. Tampa Bay is at Ottawa where Tampa Bay is coming off a big win in Montreal on Thursday night and look to make it two in a row. Ottawa lost to Washington last night and look to get back on the winning side. The NYI are at Columbus where the NYI were blown out in their last game on Thursday night to Pittsburgh who scored 9 GA. They look to bounce back. Columbus won a big game on Thursday night over Nashville in the SO and look to win on home ice over a bad NYI team. Dallas is at Nashville where both teams need a win in this one. Dallas has been the disappointing team this season so far, but look to get a big win in Nashville who lost their last 3-games and a tough SO loss to Columbus on Thursday night. They look to get the win on home ice. Dallas had a big win over detroit last night and look to go for two in a row. Detroit is at Phoenix where both teams are playing well and both had some big wins during the past week. Detroit lost last night to Dallas and they look to bounce back with a win. Vancouver is at Edmonton where Edmonton is losing games on home ice this season including a loss on Thursday night to Florida where they were shutout. Edmonton needs to win this game on home ice. Vancouver has been in a little slide but did win their last game over Nashville which was on Tuesday. St. Louis is at San Jose where San Jose has just been amazing on home ice and have the best record on home ice @ (15-0-2). They won a good game over Anaheim on Thursday night where they got the shutout win. St. Louis lost a bad game to Los Angeles on Thursday night and look to pull the upset tonight as it will be tough to do. San Jose is still the best team in the WC and in the NHL right now. A busy day and night in the NHL on a super Saturday and some really good games today and tonight in the NHL. Lets Go Pittsburgh (lesser of 2 evils), Minnesota, Boston, Washington, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Columbus, Dallas, Phoenix, Edmonton and San Jose! -SD

Over all San Jose is an NHL best (24-3-2, 50pts.). nah, st. louis never had a 3-0 lead. first goal of the game was by san jose. then st. louis came back with 3 unanswered to make it 3-1. then we scored 3 unanswered and took the lead 4-3, lost the lead 4-4, and marleau's sick backhand breakaway goal gave us the win 5-4, not to mention an unbelievable full 2 minute 5-on-3 penalty kill in which one shark had lost his stick, and then the kill of the last second fury by the blues (though they did basically kill much of it themselves as they couldn't keep the puck in the zone even when passing to each other). patrick marleau is my hero basically. My bad. Corrections have been made. I started watching this game in the second and one of the announcers mentioned 3-0 lead. Guess he missed something there. Anyway good come from behind win for San Jose over St. Louis who had a 3-1 lead. San Jose ties the record for fastest to 50 points in the NHL with the win tonight.
