The D.P. 15-year contract was a running joke until other teams started inking guys to their own decade-deals. The Neil Smith/Ted Nolan hiring/firing circus followed by promoting the backup goalie to GM didn't work out too terribly. Nolan squeezed what he could out of the team and Snow is the most competent hockey GM in New York (that's a very relative compliment). And now China? This is great!
