  1. Additional information on the D. Greene was the first Dman since rafalski left to have more than 35 points. Although Martin had 11 points in 22 games, on pace for 41 points. Here's the break down of our top two Dmen in points since the lockout: 2009-2010 Greene: 6-31-37 +9 14PIM in 78 games (7th on team in points) Mottau: 2-16-18 +4 41PIM in 79 games 2008-2009 Martin: 5-28-33 +21 36PIM in 73 games (7th on team in points) Oduya: 7-22-29 +21 30PIM in 82 games 2007-2008 Martin: 5-27-32 +20 22PIM in 73 games (8th on team in points) Oduya: 6-20-26 +27 46PIM in 75 games 2006-2007 Rafalski: 8-47-55 +4 34PIM in 82 games (5th on team in points) Martin: 3-23-29 -9 18PIM in 82 games 2005-2006 Rafalski: 6-43-49 0 36PIM in 82 games (4th on team in points) Martin: 5-32-37 +1 32PIM in 80 games Clearly we need another Rafalski...
  2. I have been tracking the teams record with players in and out of the lineup...I also have each games' roster in a spreadsheet if anyone wants to see that quickly, provided our current point streak entering the playoffs for each player who is on one. Shootout/overtime wins/losses & shutouts/being shut out. As well as our attendance by games. Lucky 13

So my friend was telling me we have the "lucky 13" straight playoff appearances, trying to be sarcastic. Since Lou won't wear a 13 due to superstition. But what I did notice, was that we won our first stanley cup in our 13th season. So maybe 13 is a lucky number for us. Also to note for the superstitious...In Brodeurs book he joked that Devils need more Quebec natives to win another cup, since previous cups had more than one player from Quebec. And we're in luck again, this year we have 3. 95 Brodeur Lemieux McKay Richer 00 Brodeur Lemieux McKay Brule 03 Brodeur Rheaume 10 Brodeur Danis PL3 (and Ben Walter lol) Unfortunately there were years we had a few Quebec natives and no cups
  4. 1st Round record vs: Bruins 2-0 (8-2) Canadiens 1-0 (4-1) Flyers 0-1 (1-4) All Time playoff records vs: Canadiens 1-0 (4-1) Bruins 3-1 (15-7) Flyers 2-1 (9-9)
  5. I don't think he was trying to get a high sticking call...He grabbed at his helmet, not his face. It looked like when he got shoved from behind his helmet fell down and he was just fixing it. If he was trying to get a call I think he would have thrown his body back too.
  6. awww they both colored their goatees blue
  7. Why does a "thoughts on zharkov" become a pando bash? I hope Pando wins the Conn Smythe just to shut everyone up.
  8. And why would that be? Because he is playing his best hockey of the season and is incredibly focused? 2 GA in 4 games. less than a minute shy from having 4 straight shut outs? You're out of your mind.... In other news. I thought McAmmond had a GREAT game tonight. And did Fraser play at all after taking that penalty? I don't remember seeing him.
  9. I think it will be Whalers vs Atlanta Flames Nordiques vs NY Americans Jets vs Maroons North Stars vs Golden Seals
  10. Henrik: L...lii...liiiggg...lighhhtt. oh light!!! h...hooo..houuuu...houss...Hose? Lighthose? That doesn't make any sense...
  11. yeah. Rolston has the C now. Niedermayer and Mottau have the A's.
  12. Let's hear it for an OT/Shootout win!
  13. No I like that music to. But it's literally the type where you've heard one you've heard them all. There is absolutely nothing different and no reason to listen to a band like that. I hate bands that have a breakdown (that doesn't even belong) in the song just so the crowd likes you and is able to sucker punch someone on the pitwall. That scene is pretty dead now in northern jersey. Too many fights caused too many clubs to close. Then there were just snowball effects. No one would go to shows because they didn't want to get jumped. So only groups of friends would go. But then they wouldn't start fights because they didn't out number anyone anymore. Then the groups stopped going since they couldn't fight anymore. I call it cheesecore because that's exactly what it is. Cheesy breakdowns with no real musicianship. I would much rather listen to a solo than a few open notes in different signatures. Also, it is nowhere near what hardcore is. I don't know who decided to name a music style the same name of a music style that already exists. Hatebreed is probably to blame. But their first album was more thrash than anything else. How can something be called 'core' that is a sub-genre of something? I have no clue.
  14. Once I saw Freehold/Howell I knew it would be cheesecore, and I was right.
  15. This is awesome. Would totally sign up if my singer wasn't a rangers fan.
  16. I'm currently organizing all my cards. Maybe like 10% of the way there and I've been doing it for 3 days now. Lots of good rookie cards too.
  17. from the Devils website: Autographs, Prizes and More! Fan Appreciation Weekend begins on April 10th, when the Devils face the Isles. Mini-Stick Giveaway: April 11 Fans at the regular season finale will get a commemorative shutout record stick.
  18. Marty was less than a minute away from 3 straight shut outs...
  19. Sorry Clarkson...You'll get that goal next time. But I am VERY happy that Kovalchuck-Elias-Clarkson is a line. And Z3 is back together
  20. Finally got on the computer. A few things I noticed. Rolston had one of his best games in months, he was winning races, throwing checks, keeping the puck. Kovalchuk had a terrible game. His goal was due to that beautiful pass from elias and board work by Zharkov. I think Skoula had his worst game as a Devil. We keep overskating the puck (again). Passes were a bit too far. Refs were horrible missing lots of calls, both ways, but mostly missing calls for the devils. The only reason why I think the Kovalchuk line was on the ice at the end of the game was to get Zharkov the EN. Otherwise, there was absolutely NO reason for them to be out there.
