We have only one. Zacha isn`t NHL winger when he can`t score. He doesnt try to force position, he isnt good in forecheck and lose boards battles(that is funny for a guy of his size), he cant to play against in neutral zone and on the blue lines. He has great hands but he needs open ice to use it, why he was so good in PP, 4 on 4, 3 on 3. Ofcourse we need in pp specialist, but now he is off and it doesnt work. Nico did make better play with Bastian and Vesey, 4th liners. But they did dirty work and that makes Nico job much easier and makes a lot of spaves for him. I`m not sain we must use Bastian and Vesey as top-6 wingers. I`m sain we must find wingers who can do a lot of work. Yegor isn`t consistent. He had a long year, but for now he isn`t consistent. I can`t be sure he will be our top-6 player. And what we have? Only Bratt. Tatar? Meh. Hope everybody understand now why clubs with ambitions didn`t use him as top-6 regular player in play-off games. I`m not against him, he is ok for his role for the next two years, but he isn`t leading player.

If we will trade Bratt it will be stupid. Even for Spencer Knight. Bratt is the second best player of this team. And I love how Nico play, I love his two way game. But other than Jack and Bratt we dont have anyone who can drive the play. Absolutely no one. Holtz will never be that kind of driver, may be Mercer will, but we don`t know that for now. And I dont think Florida will trade Spencer for now. Especially for a player, who will ask 6+ mil. They will sign Huberdau this summer and dont have much under the cap. This is not as crazy idea as we might think. Tortorella is a scapegoat coach. If he will agree - you can hire him and no one will be surprised, if you will fire him after. I`m not tellin i wanna hire him, but i`m not totally against it.

I`m not tellin about periods, I`m tellin about his skill set. Period of top-6 Zacha, period of lazy-shmazy-loosy Zacha. Well, I wait for period of traded Zacha.

Zacha is top six forward when he is on. When he is off he isn’t an NHL forward. He will never be physically involved and this is what devils needs in top six(and bottom six too). Time to capitalize Pavel, give him time in pp1 brigade and trade him after another hot streak. Hischier looks more open for play and more independent when he did play with fourth liners Bastian and Vesey because they can do some board work. I was PZ protector all the time before, but even if he will hit 50+ he will never be a player, that will really help Nico or Jack on the ice. He doesn’t play on boards, he doesn’t drive the play, he is close to be ghost in own zone. Sorry, but we are trying to go on the another level.

I had a pretty good opinion about MacBlack, but he is off this season. He and the most of his backups. With avarage goaltending devils were in the mix still. SV%, goals against in low dangerous situatios, there are a lot of stats and if you don`t trust stats you can easily check records. Devils are 16th team in shots per game(17th in goals per game), and 11!!! in shots against but 27 in goals against. Defensemen did some bad mistakes(who did not) but Mac didn`t save us anywhere. Like MB3 says - no one asking Vasilevsky, but we are in position where we could win 3-5 games with AVARAGE goaltending. Of course Ty Smith ruined a couple of games. It`s too bad it`s too late and this season was lost. Devils are nowhere too bad as a team where they are.

"Last year" Sharangovich was in Belarus camp, after that he did play in KHL, after that NHL camp, NHL season, after that he did play on WC, after that he was play with Belarus team in olympic qualification, and the last game was 29 august as I remember correctly. He has no rest and start NHL camp in september. He was absolutely lost physically in the beggining of the season, but now he start to gain his form and result is coming. I dont like his passing game, I think he isn`t great puck mover, but he have enough of tools and great shot. And I think he is good addition for our centers. Is he a core player? I don`t know, I think no he isn`t, but we dont have a lot of players with combo of his size(he must learn how to use it), speed, skating and shot. I dont think that 8 goals is a great result, but when he is on and play with Jack - he is scoring goals. Last year he was productive with Zajac too. He scores 8 goals in 31 games, Hall scores 7 in 34. Lafrenier scores 8 in 37 games, Kakko 5 in 34. I don`t think that Yegor and Janne are on the same level of talent. _____ The funny thing is Bastian success and impact.
