I'd rather cory against minni, just because I think no matter whose in net boston is going to beat us. That being said Cory has been really shaky since the break, I'm a big propnent of having him start and marty sit but he does need to be slightly accountable for his recent play. It has not been up to snuff. The red wings game he was hung out to dry, but he still looked shaky all game even with more routine saves.

Have to agree, outside of the bruins there isn't anyone to be scared of. I guess the penguins could be scary if fleury magically continues to play well into the playoffs. He has been pretty damn good this year, if that continues they could be winning another cup finally. But we should be really scared of the bruins they always beat us in recent memory.

Personally I thought the 2012 rangers were very good, in the sense they were very much like the teams we have had. Very structured defensivley with solid goal tending (big pads played a role but they werent giving up many goals). They played hard as fvck and with alot of heart. If I could choose between a devils team that looked like this years rags team vs a team that looked like the 2012 rags team, I'd take the 2012 rags team. Their biggest mistake was trading away all the players they did for these pansies they have now. It's a skilled team but it doesn't seem like one that is going to make a deep playoff run. Don't seem built for playoff hockey.

Schneider has been pretty bad since the break, but marty has defintley let in the worse goals. I mean the detroit game sucked, but the wings were T-ing off from the slot like nobodys business. Marty wasn't saving those goals either. Stark difference between the NYR outdoor game for marty and this game for cory. Namley on alot of the goals he had no chance. I guess petes thought process is, both goalies can't stop pucks but broduer is better at helping the D in their own zone. It's foolish imo simply because Cory is going to play better going foward then his last 2 games on an average basis. Marty is bad on an average basis. This is just like what happened with moose in a way, obviously its a different situation but it is eerily similar because Pete is clearly a fvcking moron when it comes to these decisions. He did it wrong last year, he's defintley doing it wrong this year. Unfortunetly for us, no matter what happens we might lose out in some way. If we win, great playoffs still alive, but that means marty will continue to start. Which means Cory might feel jilted and not resign here. (some will say thats bullsh!t, but why should he be loyal to a team that has fvcked him around like this, especially a team that is going to continue to struggle going foward given the age of its good players, I see no reason to resign in new jersey for him) If we lose, we are in trouble in the playoff hunt. And it's likley not even an instant return to Cory in net given Peter Dumbassdeboer history we will probably need 3-4 losses before Marty gets shown the bench. Not really the best situation Pete is putting us in from a stand point this season or the future.

Nice smart ass, clearly I said everyone in the top 6 should be running around checking guys. But guess what we play teams like fvcking pittsburg and can be behind in hits. If a team with that top end talent throws their weight around so can we. We do lack a certain physicallity right now, and if you wanna be olbivious to that or say its not needed fine, but don't be fvcking twats lashing out at people that think it's an important thing to have. He's slow so I imagine if he steps up on the foward they can easily get past him and make him look like a fool.

I think we never match the other team in terms of aggression in that sense, we are typically always lower than the other team sure the counts could be off slightly but we always are behind on the hits department. There is a place for hits, you fvck up skill players and it will make them think twice eventually about doing certain things.

Again look at our hit counts most games, we don't hit alot.

I think huge hits have a place, if you don't thats your opinion fine. But if you are a defensmen looking down collecting pucks behind your net and you start getting rocked, it's going to give you a pause. The kind of hits that clowe was throwing against San Jose are what we need a little bit more consistantly, we are def an aggressive/physical team when it comes to many aspects of the game. I don't think he's off the reservation thinking we need guys to throw some weight around and knock some bodies. There is nothing dirty about that either.

Is it really silly? Do you see the hit counts in our games? We don't hit alot. We battle for pucks, so sure were physical in that regard, but we don't really beat up on the other team enough. I for once agree with mike in a sense. We aren't a very physical team.

Can Ruutu fight? I have long suspected that Steve Bernier is in fact a giant bitch when it comes to fighting. I dare someone to prove me wrong. Bernier hits but he isn't truly physical he's to much of a pansy.

I agree with the bitching part in reference to this, seems like such a non issue, we traded a guy that wasn't going to stick around for a guy that might provide a little more help in the now, and even if we ate the entire salary it isn't that big of a deal, cuz really who the fvck are we going out and signing in the offseason, we hardly ever make a real splash, Kovy was the last one and that was a deviation from the mean if anything.

Will see how he plays, I like ruutu alot always like him when we play the canes. It's one thing to cry about the deal, but let's see how he meshes with our guys and what comes from it. same goes for moulson tho, on the quiet front. Moulson also might be more affordable given that the market for vanek vs moulson is already established .

Clowe has been pretty good for us since coming back from injury. IMO worth the money so far.
