Everything posted by Hi, I'm VALUE!

  1. Been there, done that, ol' reliable cheeseburger in the backfield...Rudi Johnson once again joins team VALUE~!
  2. Pick 11 shall be Rudi Johnson, CIN RB
  3. There's another thread with that info...which should be stickied, actually...and only that info. I posted TZ's pick in that as well.
  4. NYGFootball flakes, dropping out of the league. His spot is replaced by TravisZajac (sp?), who chooses to draft 3rd and picks Frank GORE~!, GORE~!, GORE~!, RB, SF
  5. Okay. Iggy, if you see this, your player pick is on the clock. Also, Scott drops to pick #12. Which means Has is on the clock for which draft position he wants to be in. Any confusion, I can get in touch with Scott while he's not on the comp.
  6. What's a draft? Anyway, my over/under on no-shows is two, so I'm halfway there. (LaFlamme doesn't count because he would have picked had he had Internet.)
  7. Guns 'n' Roses - November Rain: -Guns 'n' Roses will always be remembered musically for their Appetite for Destruction work and, possibly, for that song on the Terminator soundtrack. Which is a shame, because they had a gift for epics like these, as they showed on the Illusion series. I actually like the Estranged song better, but November Rain had the better video, and since this is about music videos, well, here ya go. -Pearl Jam's Jeremy: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bMRTOZExfJA A very chilling video and song, especially taken in light of all the violence in schools that has made headlines in the last few years. But still holds up as one of Pearl Jam's best works. I'll edit this when I'm not at work to add more, and believe me there's more.
  8. Voted for 12. 14 is way too high, talent becomes too diluted and it becomes a game of who's waiver picks are luckier.
  9. This work of fiction is the result of this board's activity, the boredom from a slow day of work, and the info from Triumph and whatever the Ducks homepage is. Enjoy" ***** Ducks Work Quickly to Shed "Soft Team" Image posted at http://www.hiimvalue.com ANAHEIM - Ducks General Manager Brian Burke has worked overtime to rehab his team's image from a soft, Mickey Mouse organization to something that somewhat resembles a tough hockey team. However, by first signing Scott Neidermeyer and then putting in offers to trade for Todd Bertuzzi, some think that they're taking things a little too far. "We've got a lot of work ahead of us," says Burke. "When, in the best season of your franchise's history, you've got a goalie nicknamed "Giggy-Puff" between the pipes, then you know you're a soft team. We're in catch-up mode, and we feel that we need to hurry the process along if we're going to be accepted as a real hockey team in time for this year's playoff run." Thus far there is no truth to the rumors that Burke is looking into signing Marty McSorley or that Mike Tyson has been taking skating lessons from Ducks Strength and Conditioning Coach Sean Skahan.
  10. Because the waiver wire on a 12 team league that starts 2 RB, 2 WR, and a Flex stinks. I vote for a dispersal draft first, leaving it alone second, and then if those two fail, go to trades approved by league vote of 2/3 majority of people not involved in the trade.
  11. You know, if his roster wasn't total garbage, I'd consider trading for something, but I think his DEFENSE is his best player.
  12. Here's why I hate multiple FF leagues: 1) I don't even REMEMBER signing Doug Gabriel to my squad in this league. 2) I am in the process of un-benching Ward, get him into my league team, but forget to play him in the money league, and it looks like losing Ward's production might just kill me there. 3) Having to keep track of three different rosters, all with conflicting interests, is such a pain. I was hoping I'd at least have rosters that were close, but I guess not. 4) Facing TWO returning champs in one week. That being said, and the fact that every touchdown Gates gets is a TD for me as well... and I think that I'm actually in my matchup still.
  13. Samoa Joe. No doubt in my mind. Most likely for the PPV that they're in Detroit for. The only other possibility they have is if Rhino wins in Detroit and transitions it to Joe a month later. Joe will be NWA Champ before the year is out, tho. And I would plan on him holding it for a long time unless Planet Jarrett uses clout to step in.
  14. 7-4 so far. Wrong on Seton Hall, Marquette, UNC-Wilmington, and Nevada, tho all four of them I had eliminated next round, so therefore it's so far, so good. Some incredibly good games, between BC and Tennessee. Even the Bama game was better than it should have been. Iona made LSU look downright foolish in the first half. Really, I'm to understand that the Hall and the UCLA games were the only garbage games so far.
  15. Did he say...VALUE priced?!? Well, not like you didn't know I would be there, either. I might be annoying and wear the Knicks jersey I have, considering I don't have a hockey jersey worth wearing at this point. As for the tailgate, I'm all for it. Maybe even get a small deck hockey game on earlier. I know I could use the exercise.
  16. [shawn Michaels shoots off a mortar] S: Wait a second...the power of Christ compels him to shoot mortars? What?!? [Matrix game turned on.] Guess Raw is over eh?
  17. Umm, yeah Favre...why the hell is he not standing aside to see what they've got in Rodgers? Does he make Sherman smile?
  18. [Cena comes out.] Brian: Hey, Cena is The Marine Scott: Ugh...you can't watch me Masters enters- S: Let's hope we never see him in the gay bayliff outfit again. Later... S: The only reason we're still watching this is because it looks warm and it makes my feet feel better. Have to agree...Raw is kinda boring at this point.
  19. They show the sign coming back from commercial that has the prices of tickets and what people paid for getting into the game. Price paid for 25 yd line tickets: 1500 Scott: They paid $1500 to see that [stuff]?!? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
