SterioDesign
Another beauty, that game was on tv last night and i was watching at the same time as the Devils game. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/video/index/id/26f7270cd1bf1281fec0e7fb6549353b The kid is a pure scorer / sniper and he's good at getting in good spots just enough to get a good shot. I cant wait to see the kid in the AHL
DevilMinder
Damn! That was a serious twitch shot.
SterioDesign
Stamkos record is 58 goals with Sarnia... Boucher has 12 games left to achieve that lol well obviously Stamkos was younger
SterioDesign
talking about the Sarnia's... Charles Sarault is playing in his overage year and he's 2nd in pts in the OHL with 20 goals and 66 assists in 56 games, playing with boucher too so since anyone could sign him to a pro contract wouldnt it be a good idea to give him a shot for our AHL team last year, maybe it would make the transition for Boucher easier too to have his a center he played with coming with him. at worst it could simply bulk up our AHL teams if that guy can pan out
pattyelias
whats the knock on boucher? did he just blossom out of nowhere in the ohl or is there some reason he ended up a 4th rd pick?
justdo3043
even if this guy is a one trick pony on the pp with a release like that from the slot i don't see how he couldn't translate that into the nhl
SterioDesign
Thats his talent analysis from Hockey's Future Talent AnalysisBoucher’s best assets are his deadly accurate shot, lightning-quick release, and his soft hands. Whether it’s in-tight or from outside the circles, Boucher can snipe with the best of them. More quick than fast, Boucher has good vision and knows where to park himself on the ice in order to get quality chances in the offensive zone. He doesn’t let his size keep him from battling for loose pucks and he does not shy away from traffic, however these are two things he needs to do more of to become more involved in the play. His overall defensive game is still a work in progress, but he has plenty of time to polish that area up. Future Despite a couple of lengthy scoring droughts, Boucher continued to show the ability to find the net in his first year for Sarnia. The Devils know he can score, and that will always be his calling card. His defensive play will likely never be that great, but it’s still something he needs to become more proficient at. There is boom/bust potential here, but his scoring skills could carry him a long way. i'd like to see a more recent report from a scout about his game his year though, but him not making the USA roster for wtv reasons could be a sign that there's something lacking from his game, or simply that he had a bad camp.
