msweet Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 (edited) Here's how I calculate: Buffalo did us an enormous favor by winning last night. 1. x-Ottawa 79 110 2. y-Carolina 79 109 3. x-NY Rangers 79 100 4. x-Buffalo 79 104 5. x-Philadelphia 78 97 6. x-New Jersey 79 95 7. Montreal 79 91 8. Tampa Bay 79 89 9. Atlanta 78 85 A win tonight gives us 97 points with 44 wins Montreal has 3 games left. If they win all 3 they will have 97 points with 44 wins. If we get no points in our next 2 games, we will be tied with them. The first tie breaker, which is wins, will be tied also. The next tie breaker is head to head and we won the series agianst them.
