I agree and after last years mess of an All Star game there is no reason for this. The people at Versus should have learned from their mistakes and done this years right. Legace in now for the West and Vokoun now in for the West. Backstrom scores. Legace is funny on the microphone haha Kane scores with an assist from Legace and he said he did his Marty Brodeur move haha, the score is 1-1 in the period. Johnson scores. 2-1 West. Now 3-1 with a goal from Perron. Gagner scores 4-1 West. Manny Legace on mic is priceless. I've never really heard Manny speak before until they put a microphone on him. He is a funny guy. I agree, it went by so fast and was definitely the best part of the competition tonight. Plus, with only the 6 minute periods, some guys would stay out there for a 2+ min shift and as a result some of the guys hardly had a chance to play. Took some of the excitement out of it for me. Exactly. I thought Clarkson had a chance at MVP after that great first shift and then I barely saw him in the second period. Also, the running time made the 6 minutes feel even shorter. The east won the hardest shot and are up 8-5 now in the skills contest. The breakaway challenge is next.
