devilsrule33
It is in the front section of a paper in Ottawa. Like the Thrashers did the Panthers organization came out with this statement. "The entire Florida Panthers organization regrets that a number of fans behaved disrespectfully during the playing of the Canadian anthem." CHICO IS GOD
I thought this situation was over, Montreal fans stopped so why try to re-ignite a fire that looked to be dead.
Rock
There are morons at all games. Let's stop painting all fans with the same brush. I remember going to a Leaf Redwing game in Toronto in 1996 some drunk started booing the American anthem to impress his drunk buddies near me. Everyone just ignored him because he was stupid and idiotic. The whole group of them left the game after the first period of a close game. I guess they couldn't get the drinks fast enough at the game or they were too expensive for their tastes.
devilsrule33
Well I have never heard booing for the American anthem at Sens games and now more then ever the booing is drowning out the anthem.
Zamode
This has to stop but I don't think statements by the organizations will stop boneheads from doing so, American or Canadian. Even if they announce it prior to the game, there will always be one who has to have the last word in.
sheeps
This has to stop before it gets even more out of hand.
arnie25
This is so childish. You do something to me, so I'll do it back to you to make you mad. It was wrong that the FEW people in Montreal did it, but people have to understand that it wasn't the whole crowd, it was a few idiots that were trying to protest the war and used the game as their platform. There are more pressing issues in the world right now than worrying about booing at sporting events.
