SC Devs Fan
Brodeur calls Avery 'unprofessional' in Montreal newspaper column http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2008/12...unprofessi.html According to the woman's translation, Brodeur said: "Sean Avery said bad things about Dion Phaneuf and his ex-girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert, and it wasn't acceptable. Avery said it is common for NHL players to (date) his ex-girlfriends. "(Avery's) declaration was premeditated and the National Hockey League was right to punish him with a suspension because he doesn't act like a professional." dmitri
People living in glass houses should not throw stones. Marty should avoid talking about other players' personal lives.

Devils731
People living in glass houses should not throw stones. Marty should avoid talking about other players' personal lives. Avery's quote was a public matter, not private. Avery's lack of professionalism is also a public, not private, matter. Marty did not say anything about Avery that wasn't based on public knowledge. halfsharkalligatorhalfman
People living in glass houses should not throw stones. Marty should avoid talking about other players' personal lives. Uhhh, what was unprofessional was that Avery made public Comments about his personal life and other NHLers, Brodeur has done nothing of the sort. With that said, does anyone really care what Brodeur has to say on the issue? Why bother? This Avery thing is so ridiculously overblown. Prucenterrules
I think Marty just should stay out of this and not get anyone mad at him or have him say something he'll regret.

Once the Stars get rid of him, no team will want him. I think Marty just should stay out of this and not get anyone mad at him or have him say something he'll regret. Probably true. I know that he hates Avery but he should avoid trouble because he's already out.
