Something to the effect of how do you avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest in things that are supposed to be independent when you pay the independent investigators and the owners pay you? He went off on a tangent about how these guys' track records are impeccable and made some smart aleck remark that 'unless you want to volunteer to do it (the investigation)' and a bunch of other bully boy crap. He must really think the public is pretty stupid if he thinks most people believe that crap about 'impeccable track records'. Goodell really is the scumbag of scumbags.
