devilsrule33
Just wondering where and when Parise was quoted as saying, “We would run through a wall for him"?
ohms law
I just saw that quote recently (Just before the Jet's game, I think), but I can't remember exactly where. It may have been included in one of Rich Chere's Star Ledger pieces, but I'm not positive.

Jas0nMacIsaac
DeBoer is a good coach who has a lot of experience dealing with youngsters. He understands what he wants out of them and what it will take to play in key situations. He had an adjustment with Florida where he dealt with multi-million dollar adults and it wasn't as easy to get them to do what he wanted. New Jersey has an excellent core of veterans and a lot of youth so this is a perfect fit for him. The Devils are looking increasingly better with the lead in recent games. As we seen with Brodeur playing better of late, games will be won even when we don't have our best game. The last 20 games NJ is actually playing worse then they did in the first 25 but better sh% and sv% have allowed them to post a much better record. Colin226
Nice blog post.. Definitely like where Pete has this team right now.. He's brought in a much more aggressive system that also stresses good defensive play, and that's really what is necessary in today's NHL.. Tonight and Saturday will be great tests for this team.. If we can even just split those games I'll be happy and I think our guys will walk away with some more confidence which, as we saw last season, can be a major difference in how a team plays

aylbert
Ever since Sutter, I've been hearing about this new identity. We need to be more offensive and sit back less. Players like Kovy and Parise allow that to happen... Get some legit offensive d-man in this system - and keep players like Parise and Henrique around, and we'll have that. I was hoping Henrique would be trade bait earlier, but he is showing he belongs in the top 6... and there's no reason to trade him for something... if he is already that something.
