i'd agree with that, but common sense needs to be applied.

i find it funny that people still call up the sales dept. and ask for college discounts. obviously round 1 (given the opponent and Devils track record) was a tougher sell. don't people understand supply/demand? you won't see a college discount rest of the playoffs.

I hope all the STH who were complaining round 1 about the Devils offering college discounts cheaper than what they paid use this as a good example. I'm a STH in 130. Paid $57 for round 1 and $63 for round 2. Printed on my ticket is $85 for round 2. was already offered $150/each by flyer fans (of course i turned it down, I'm going) STH are well taken care of this round with uppers going for $71.....lol

majority of the people on this board complain about something. it's a nice gesture, don't go if you don't want to. But bashing it for no reason is just stupid. The cost of opening the building is more than the little money the team will make. Can the Devils management ever catch a break on this site, holy sh!t

really not much people can say now about the tickets not being affordable. Their is a price point for everyone to get into the building. I'm a STH and I much rather have the building full than care what others paid. Sometimes i think people forget NJ is one of the wealthiest states in the country.

Let me break it down like this. I've learned 1 thing on this board when discussing buying tickets. This forum is filled predominately with broke college kids. At least that seems like the consensus. I understand that some people don't have disposable income but don't lose sight of the fact that NJ is one of the richest states in the country. We have money here. So the fact is all the college kids and all the people that are broke are in the minority here.

spoke to my ticket rep. still a lot of tickets for game 3 left. not sure what the offer is but they emailed/left automated messages on peoples phones. With the higher tickets prices, Devils made what they wanted to for the game already, now just sending out deals to fill the building. call Devils and ask for the deal if you don't have tix yet Everyone buy up!

the guide says game is on NBC Sports Network but they have some documentary of Russia and Canada. NHL network keeps doing live look ins but can't watch the full game. WTF????

i agree, if it comes down to paying bills or devils tickets, then those people clearly don't go. I'd like to think that even the state of the economy, that is the exception and not the rule with most people. Especially when tickets can be had for around $60.

Anyone else see the new Subway commercial with the Devils fans in it? They are definitely going for the NYC theme. Starts off showing shots of the NYC sky line, people walking in Central Park, Empire State Building and then some scenes on the streets of NY. Next shot is like 4-5 people decked out in Devils jerseys, hats and t-shirts in Championship Plaza holding up $5 foot long sandwiches and drinks. Seems like an odd commercial with the NY theme and the Devils but it's great publicity! I saw the spot while watching SNL. I recorded it on my phone and if i knew how to upload to this post I would. I was curious if anyone else saw it?
