Fair enough... I was just thinking putting a mini state flag on the shoulders might look cool, especially considering the "Jersey's team" theme. I definitely agree about the lace up neck. That would look nice. =]

Preds new design looks awesome. I love the guitar pick patch especially. As for NJ getting an alternate jersey, while it'd be interesting (I'd buy one if they made an alternate), I don't think we need one considering we have the vintage ones. But I would like to see NJ's state flag added onto the current jersey as shoulder patches.

You know what? I almost don't care who the new coach is, as long as he can get the team to be successful and sticks around for more than a year. Then again, playing solid hockey is on the players. But still.

*shrug* If Rolston and Zubrus was mentioned as being shopped, then chances are that it's those two Lou is trying to use in a potential trade, which is why I said what I said. You're probably right though. As far as trading the 4th overall pick, I don't think it's gonna happen, in my opinion. Not for a guy who could possibly walk when he becomes unrestricted. If we'd be packaging a pick, I'd think it'd be a a second rounder along with a prospect. Hope it's not Urbom though. (I think when he develops more he's gonna be awesome)

Apparently there have been whispers about the Wild and the Devils talking. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere on here or if there's a seperate thread for trade rumors, so figured I'd post here. If we could actually land Burns for Rolston... well needless to say I have a feeling something, a prospect or a draft pick (or both) will be included with Rolston if he's sent to the Wild for Burns. Same with Zubrus. I believe Burns is on the last year of his deal (correct me if I'm wrong), as is Rolston, so maybe it makes a little sense. Around the time our season ended, some were writing off Huberdeau because of 'bust potential' due to his rising high in such a short period of time. Umm Strome has done the same exact thing, in less time. I'm sorry I'd rather get Larsson, Hamilton or even Murphy than either of those forwards. Just my opinion.

Lou says they're talking. Zach (per TG'S twitter and most likely his blog) confirmed they're talking. They'll get something done. Lou's not ignoring Zach now.

Apparently Nashville filed for arbitration too, with Shea Weber. For both teams it's merely to prevent offer sheets from coming in. Now that both Lou and Parise's camp are talking, I'm not worried about a deal getting done.

You're being sarcastic right? If you read Fire and Ice you'd see that Lou and Zach have opened talks. Filing for arbitration simply buys all parties involved negotiating time until the hearing, as it eliminates offer sheets coming in.

If there's rumors, something must be cooking. Before there was dead silence, now we're hearing stuff. Remembering last offseason, when stuff started leaking about Kovalchuk Lou started up with the 'status quo', 'there's nothing new going on' and 'we'll do whatever it takes to keep Kovalchuk but nothing is going on' answers. Seems like he's back to the same answers when talking about what's going on with Zach. I know I may be grasping at straws, but hopefully it won't take all summer to get the guy signed this time.

Sabres games are hardly ever shown on the MSG channels though, unless I'm mistaken. I remember being able to watch a Sabres game on NHL Gamecenter once, although I'm not sure if it was just a once in a while broadcast. Normally games shown on MSG are blacked out on there.

I've always said to my siblings and friends who are Devils fans that the Devils should flip off MSG when their contract is up with them and go to the YES Network. And whatever games that won't be aired on the YES Network when baseball season starts, put on the NHL Network. Or vice versa for Yankee games and whatever the MLB channel is called. I think the Devils and the YES Network can work something out.
