Listen im not trying to start anything here, but i remember the Stevens hit on Lindros and hearing Devils fans that i know make fun of Lindros about how he is now a vegteable and what not....regardless of what you think of the hit, the fact that some Flyers fans make comments like that about Stevens, right or wrong, you have to try (and its hard believe me I HATE the Flyers) put yourself in their shoes...the Devils have been a thorn in the Flyers side for years...and even though that comment by that Flyers can is uncalled for and immature, he wouldnt have made it if it not for the history between the 2 teams.

Gotta love overconfident Flyers fans...they make me laugh... One time I was listening to 610 radio down there in 1997, and they were having a serious conversation about how the Flyers can go undefeated for the whole season, and they were going down the games on their schedule that they would be able to sneak ties out of....and they were serious! I couldnt stop laughing! Then another one of their Einsteins on that radio proclaimed "50 percent of NHL games end in a tie, Im convinced....look at the amount of ties the teams have...and he goes down the list, saying at the end of the year, its a DEFINITE 50 percent of games end in a tie....ok lets see here....so every NHL team averages 41 ties a year??? I apologize if I am talking about the Sabres too much lately on this Devils board, but I do enjoy reading the Devils stories and I love the way this site is run, keep up the great work! Well the Sabres run for the 8th seed came to a close tonight, I have to say the Islanders did what they had to do and deserve the playoff spot, but in the 21 years Ive been a Sabres fan, not many other times have I felt so proud to be a Sabres fan, they never quit, it seems the Sabres might have something to look forward to in the near future. They gave it everything they had and you just have to hand it to the Isles...they swept the Sabres and thats the bottom line What Im getting at here for all the Devils fans is this: never take the amount of success your team has had the last 10 years for granted...enjoy EVERY moment of the playoffs, believe me I kind of did, theyd make it almost every year and lose in the first 2 rounds and Id get annoyed. The Sabres have now missed the playoffs for 3 years in a row now (first time that has ever happened to Buffalo) and I truly miss it. I miss that adrealine rush you get when the playoffs begin, I miss the feelings of critical Game 5's and whatnot...I miss seeing the Sabres fans go nuts after a goal and waving the pom-poms..I have not enjoyed nowhere near the level of success NJ fans have over the last 10 years, but Ive had plenty to cheer about over 20 yrs....enjoy EVERY moment of your Devils succcess, because you just never know when it will end...Im sure Derek21 will agree as well....
