good thing kari got a break he was obviously wearing out. we don't need to see the thrash give him another 23 some game consecutive streak again. the flyers looked like a really energized team the first two or three minutes, but shortly after the goal the flyers find themselves chasing hte play again. these are some interesting lines to say the least. umberger with the goons? grant and eager ruzicka with gags and forseberg i'm interested in how this game will turn out.

kipprusoft has struggled the past few games, big time.

Although clarke should have replaced jonsson, not resigning him was really the smart thing to do. he did not deserve that kind of money in any way shape or form. and during last year he was brutally inconsistent alternating between the no.1 defensemen who was so solid in 03-04 and terrific in their playoff run with a brutal shadow of a defensemen that mirrored rory "i'm bobby orr" fitzpatrick.

the degree of problems with this team is far beyond any one player, the coach, or the gm. it is remarkable. last night was arguably the worst showing by any team i've ever seen. esche played his heart out and that's what he gets. as soon as nedved was designated as the "shutdown center" you knew problems were gonna happen. quite honestly the more i think about it, the more you start to realize that this is simply what the team is. even dating back to last year when they somehow won that many games to get to the playoffs. the success during their roadtrip and early on in the season was all due to really close 1 goal games with nice bounces or the shootout going their way. they seldomely dominated a game last year. every game was a grind. and as soon as they met a team that was their polar opposite they got brutally exposed. the flyers for the past two years have simply not been great, last year they had some luck on their side this year they are being brutally exposed as a team with a terrible defense, one dominant offensive player, and slightly above average goaltending. i think a lot of hope entering the year would be for carter and richards to step up. thus far neither have done anything. richards is gaining a bad tendency of puckhogging and then following the puckhogging with a terrible pass or blind slapshot that goes nowhere. carter is just doing nothing. pitkanen is really their only young gun that is truley stepping up. i'll willingly admit i held this team in a much higher regard then they deserved last year.

no sim card, my friend found it up at a soccer field a whiles away no wait the unregistered sim garbage, that was from like my friend doing something with another fone? or something. he took whatever sim card that was back or some such now its just like put in a sim or something. i don't even know the entire story with my friend really, all i know is i bought it off of him for 20 bucks with no sim card in it.

So i found a razr and it says all this unregisted sim such so it has no service or anything and it's cingular. i also have cingular, can i just take the sim card out of my fone and put it into the razr or do i have to do anything more? some of my friends said the previous people can call and shut off the fone making the razr uselss in effect. some people said all i have to do is just put in my sim card and it will work fine. and another person said i have to call and tell cingular i have a new fone and give them the iem number or some such? so basically, my question is what should i do for switchting from my current phone to the razr? if i end up switching and i can't use the razr anymore i'll be pissed. but if i call cingular and they are like where'd you get the fone and i say "i found it on the ground" i feel it would be awkward or some such...so ya. thanks for any help

vokoun sucked, i don't know what he was doing tonight. luongo was a treat to watch, but god damn for once can he get decent looking pads. lehtonen was pretty strong, but freaking shootouts. the thing with kovalchuk in shootouts is this, he is just stupid. he skates in fast stickhandlign the entire way just to shoot it five hole, he does it every damn time and every damn time it doesn't work.

ugh. yes he did at one point of time put up better offensive numbers than pronger, but during the devils real contention hey day where niedermayer and stevens together were dominant stevens was not a real offensive factor. pronger is better on the powerplay than niedermayer. niedermayer just kinda scampers in and out but isn't as effective as pronger and his huge shot. pronger and niedermayer could easily work together as well. and if they don't want that they can each break up pp time and you have two top pp qb's on different units. do you see the versatility having 2 dominant defensemen has? where did i remotely mention they would play together.... the main difference between the niedermayer and pronger versus niedermayer and stevens i was trying to make all along was this. the niedermayer on the ducks is vastly better and more consistent than the devils niedermayer. there in lies the key difference.

no, just no. i don't care how stevens role changed or what not, the fact is he simply didn't put up great offensive numbers. he wasn't a huge factor offensively while the great duo of him and niedermayer were around. undoubtedly pronger and niedermayer will put up an enormous amount of points together this year barring injury. which will give them an offensive dimension the niedermayer and stevens duo simply did not have. o ya, pronger could get points on his own fine as well. you don't become the first dman since bobby orr to win the hart for being able to pass the puck to al macinnis

you make a strong point tri. i haven't paid as much attention this offseason as i use too, to be honest. i looked up and saw arnason on the avs and i found myself wondering whent that happend, same with halpern for stars. macdonald really fell off in the playoffs too, so that in itself is in question. i dont' think the goalie thing is all that big, i feel like with the defense it won't matter. when i do nashville versus anaheim, i can see how one could pick nashville over anaheim...their offensive depth is more sure and i love their defense, and of course vokoun.... the more i think about it, i don't think my assumption with anaheim is as solid as i once thought it was. for me i guess i'm putting it up in a 4 way between anaheim, sanjose, nashville, and calgary...but i'll put admitted bias in liking nashville and hating calgary, so maybe they just wash out or something.

the reason prongs and niedermayer is better than stevens is niedermayer has NOTHING to do with pronger. its mainly because the devils incarnation of niedermayer is just on anotehr level than the one that played for the devs. the one that played for the devs was vastly talented, but inconsistent in terms of how often he used his talent to dominate. the niedermayer ducks dominated on a game by game basis. the pronger and niedermayer also provide an offensive dimension the niedermayer stevens don't come close too. however i do agree with tri in that the overall six of the devs were greater than that of hte current ducks. i just feel any defense with two of the top 3 defensemen in the league is going to be amazing. they have decent "depth" scoring. by this i mean a lot of good 20 goal guys and bryz or giguere could easily be no.1's. i don't think the ducks will run away with the western conference, but i do believe they will win the cup.

sue, i will remain a panthers fan. bouwmeester is still there so i shall remain. my alliegances for this season are about the same. if the panthers traded bouwmeester i'd give up on them. if the bruins traded axelsson i'd give up on them. but outside of those two, i will most likely stay with the current teams no matter what. atlanta's centers worry me. holik does have scoring ability he was a BEAST when the playoffs were on the line, but can he stay healthy and do that over a full season? i doubt it. defensively? havelid is an outstanding dman, but de vries has been overrated and overworked since he left colorado. i don't know i had lots of confidence in the defense heading into last year, but i'm not so sure. they have a lot of great "complementing" defensemen, but no true solid leader which makes me worry. if mccarthy can continue its amazing offensive output that he started last season and sutton can stay healthy the defense should be sufficient. the loss of modry is addition by subtraction. if all else fails, i really feel lehtonen will be an all-star this year.

i remeber a lot of people being dissapointed in martin this year. not because he was overly terrible, but he was so sound in his rookie year, and didn't really look as consistent or majorly improved this past year...maybe thats why some of you feel 2 is an overpayment? i think at the moment 2 is too much, but he has all the tools to be more than worth that this upcoming year.

this has to be one of the worst trades i've seen in a while. i think jack johnson is a douche and i hope he busts, but i dont' think he'll do that. nonetheless what the hell. i mean of all things to trade him for, tim gleason and belanger? i like belanger and gleason has potential, but come on.
