sheeps
First line of TSN's article from last night: "Forget a repeat." TSN, who picked us as #2-#5 in their power rankings all year long, putting us at #2 just before the playoffs started, has already declared us out. It's not over til the fat lady sings! And they should know better than to count us out vs. Philadelphia! source Boys, use this (and similar articles) for inspiration!

I can't blame the Canadian media for dancing on our grave (which is still being dug, IMO). We've won three Cups since one of their teams has gotten a sniff. We've "ruined hockey" by playing defense. And we have their native son playing goalie on an American team. Hopefully we'll prove them wrong... <JESTER>
David Puddy
This team always has demons that it can't overcome. I want to see the Devils overcome their Demons for once. Win a game when you don't score first. Win in overtime. Beat the Flyers even though you didn't win game one. Pull off a third-period comeback. And most of all don't bow out in the first round the year after winning the cup!
sheeps
What bothered me about this article was that they counted us out, but no other teams were counted out in similar articles. Montreal, for instance, got a vote of confidence in that they were going home for games 3 and 4. Same thing for us, but we get "Forget a repeat." Last night, two 2-0 series became 2-1 series. IT'S TIME FOR US TO GET BACK INTO THIS SERIES!!!
NJCroMag
On the other hand, folks, look at the poll TSN has on their main page. People are overwhelmingly saying the Devils have the best chance to rebound, of all the 0-2 teams.

I know, I saw that... so the PEOPLE haven't gone insane, just TSN's writers, who by the way picked us #2 in power rankings just last week... fickle much? Swede
Well, usually we don't repeat. I love that we can use this line when describing our team!!!!

halfsharkalligatorhalfman
for the most part, the entire province of ontario despises the devils, so hey, they're writing for their audience.
LOTCB
And most of all don't bow out in the first round the year after winning the cup! Try being a Sabres fan and facing the reality that I will NEVER be able to make a statement like that...winning the Cup? Thats for others.... djstubbs
Honestly, I could care less what anyone rates us. All I know is that I'm a Devils fan, and that we will beat the Flyers... GO DEVILS!

And they should know better than to count us out vs. Philadelphia! source Boys, use this (and similar articles) for inspiration! Do Devils fans know how to read? This article was written by an Associated Press writer, not a TSN writer. I went on Google News and found the same article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution among other papers -- http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/shared/s...evils-Flye.html This has nothing to do with the supposed anti-Devils sentiment in Canada or the TSN people. This forum is overfilled with insecurity and conspiracy theories. And anyway, if you read the statement "forget a repeat" in context with the next sentence then it is obvious that the author is not saying that the Devils have zero chance of repeating. Rather, the article is saying that the Devils and their fans should take their focus of repeating as SC champs, but rather they should worry about getting out of the hole they are in against the Flyers. First things first and worry about the cup when you get the chance. Either way it is a stupid statement. I'm a Flyers fan and while I don't think the Devils are the best team in the league this year, I know that this series is far from over! sheeps
Do Devils fans know how to read? This article was written by an Associated Press writer, not a TSN writer. I noticed that only later. Do I know how to read? Yes. That's how I read everything on TSN. And that's where I slipped up. 9 times out of 10, when TSN does a recap, it's with their own guys and gals. It's just another example of a writer using a shocker sentence to entice people to read the entire article. It enticed me to hit "Back" on me browser. peteyvegas
Sorry, Don. It just seems to me that the Canadian press overreacts in a childlike way. For instance: When I was a kid, I used to think the Yanks were going to lose because the first pitch of a game was a strike or a ball, depending whether they were up or pitching. I mean THAT way. I see it alot on TSN.CA.
