insanity_gallops
Funny, I see "SOL" and think of a different phrase.
sheeps
Man, Stan's more pro-owner than I am!
PeteyNice
Of course he is. Who is his boss?
sheeps
Of course he is. Who is his boss? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wasn't saying it as if I didn't know, I know plenty about Stan...
PeteyNice
Stan is a smart guy, even if it doesn't always come across that way on TV. He is not going to bite the hand that feeds him.
SueNJ97
You should also remember that Stan has two bosses. Yes, he works for Cablevision. He also works for himself. He turns out 1-2 books a year. And while he probably makes a lot more from Cablevision than he does from the books, he is about 72 now. He's probably made enough over the years that he could do without the Cablevision $$$ if he really wanted to. Now, maybe he just doesn't want to. Or maybe he's just too old-fashioned to actually be anything but pro-owner in this. I remember him saying a few things to me about particular players and how much they were making in the past - the comments were always pro-owner. And it wasn't always about the local teams. So may be he just feels this way.
NJDevs4978
Plus he's Stan Fischler for crying out loud. I don't think he'd exactly be in any real trouble for not being pro-owner. Oh he'd probably be reprimanded, but he can write his own ticket anywhere in hockey.
