Devil Dog
Thats it the Avs are done. Pack up bags and head for Hilton Head for spring golf. Nows the time to strike. Danton for Forsberg straight up!!
Elias Sports Bureau
I don't like trade talk, but yeah, OK, I'll do that deal.
NJayDevil
wow, not good for the Avs. Maybe they will heavily go after Kovy now.
Risky
I saw that happen. I knew it was broken the minute Joe went down. Too bad for him - every guy on his team pretty much deserves that before him. But the day I shed a tear (or a crap) for the Avs is the day Glen Sather explores "fiscal responsibility." MrQuotes
sucks indeed but yes, as risky said, he's an av, and i have a pretty good memory nice avatar risky, quality
Nieuwy25
Something tells me the SBT won't be too happy! That was quite a game! Forsberg vs Turco, Hatcher vs Forsberg, Foot vs Hatcher . . . no love lost here for the Avs.
Pepperkorn
nice avatar risky, quality but it's not as schweet as my man-porn Poor Sack... but the Avs seem to rise above adversity so I'm not agonna waste much sympathy on that lot! '7'
sorry Pep, Courteney rules supreme as best avatar. The Avs are in some deep $hit now, I see them as major players in the Kovalev or Satan sweepstakes.
Risky
That game really was great. I was hoping for an OT winner (either Foreskin or Modano - my fantasy bros), but it was well played and very tough. Fast as hell, too.
HarbingerOfSorrow
You got that right, NJDev25. The SBT is most displeased.
NJayDevil
I'm still an Avs fan. Granted I HATED them from Game 1 of the Finals all the way until the following December but then I grew up and realized that it was the Devs fault that the lost. SackItch is great. In my Top 5 favorite, along with Kovy. Forsberg tops that list tho. That game against Detroit and his goal was a PURE goal scorers goal. Coming out of the corner, puts the puck on his backhand to portary hes going to pass the puck, notices CuJo moving his stick out to deflect his "pass" away, and in 1 split second Forsberg puts it to his forehand and puts the puck right through CuJo's five hole. It was magic I tell you, magic. Wow.
HarbingerOfSorrow
Foppa's pretty good, all right. With Sakic out, the top line of Forsberg, Hejduk, and Tanguay will have to carry that team. They'll also need a return to form by Roy.
NJayDevil
and for Tanguay return to form. I was watching the last 2 Avs games on ESPN (against Detroit and Dallas) and Tanguay just made some terrible decisions. He's really struggling. HarbingerOfSorrow
NJay, I was at the Dallas game. Tanguay wasn't great but playing against Detroit and Dallas will make a lot of players look bad.
NJayDevil
True ______ (dont know what to call you), Very true. Still think Tanguay's got some good talent. Just can't imagine a player playing on a line that consists of Hejduk and Forsberg struggling too much longer.
HarbingerOfSorrow
You and other posters can refer to me by my full name or by simply abbreviating it to "HOS" or "Harbinger" or "Harbi".
NJayDevil
I'll abbreviate it to HOS, typing out the full name will make me go nuts. I'm a lazy individual.
HarbingerOfSorrow
That'll work. Kinda like "HOSSA" but without the "SA" at the end!
NJayDevil
And probably without the talent either.
HarbingerOfSorrow
What? I taught Marian everything he knows. But not everything I know.
E-Devil
You and other posters can refer to me by my full name or by simply abbreviating it to "HOS" or "Harbinger" or "Harbi". You weren't once POD were you? The names are so similar and I always wondered what happened to him.
HarbingerOfSorrow
No, I'm not the Prognosticator of Doom. Now there's a blast from the past. I remember him from the old board and the NJO forum. He would always criticize Mogilny, which would be good luck for the Devils.
zenchic
Ok..there's NO way I can say a bad word about Sakic, and I am sorry Zubie's shot broke his foot..HOWEVER, the nicities out of the way HORRAY!!! *eg* That was one ROUGH-TOUGH instant classic game in my humble opinion! And why Marty Turco was suspended for that play on Flopsy and Flopsy SPEARING Derien (yeah yeah I know how ya'll feel about Derien) but regardless, a spear is a spear and Flopsy had to wait to get officials between he and Derien to do it...but of course, the "league office" wouldn't DARE do anything to Flopsy now would they..I think not! I bet Brenden Morrow gets 2 game suspension for an accident check into the boards in Dallas' game tonight too..mark my words!
