pattyelias
Seems right to me. Makes for a pretty exciting day of hockey tomorrow, doesn't it? I just hope none of tomorrow's Atlantic division games come down to a shootout.
elperro
So one point for the Devils clinches 5th. Unless the Flyers win and the Rangers win or lose in OT/SO
devils26
So one point for the Devils clinches 5th. Unless the Flyers get 2 points and the Rangers get at least 1. Edited April 17, 2006 by devils26
pattyelias
So one point for the Devils clinches 5th. No. If the Devils get 1 point, Philly wins and the Rags get 1 point we would end up in 6th.
devils26
I just hope none of tomorrow's Atlantic division games come down to a shootout. Tomorrow is going to be a great day of hockey. I also hope that none of the Atlantic division games come down to a shootout because I would hate to see the Atlantic Division Title decided by a few, unrealistic breakaways. PeteyNice
The Atlantic Division title is not decided tomorrow. It is decided over the course of 82 games. Some of which end in Farces. If tommorrow's games end in Farces so be it. As long as we walk out with the title I do not care how we do it. It is also worth mentioning that the Devils would not even be mentioned for the Atlantic title if they did not have an excellent Farce record. In fact if either the Devils or Rangers win the Atlantic they will have gotten it only because they had superior records in shootouts to the Flyers. If you remove shootout points the Flyers have 95 points, the Rangers 93 and the Devils 90.

Me too, but can we play Kozlov, just in case?
Devil Fan
I'm positive that the Rangers will lost to the Sens tomorrow.
Devils731
The bonus overtime point has been a farce for years now, forcing a winner and a 3 point game is no worse, just an extension of that bad decision from a while ago.

Right, and the Rangers and Flyers both have more OT/SO losses than the Devils so it pretty much evens out, combining that with the shootout points in wins. Everyone plays by the same rules.
