Devilsdude530
Say you've got, oh two days to live. You spend the first day saying goodbye to friends and family, eating Jersey shore french fries, etc. You're told you can spend the last 24 hours watching any 10 Devils games you'd like in their entirety. Take your pick... My List: 1. 1988 - MacLean beats Pang in OT, Devs make the Playoffs for first time @ Chicago on final night of the season. 2. May 12, 1995. Randy McKay scores in OT, Devils beat the Bruins. 3. May 22, 1995. "Scott Stevens on a backhander!". Devils beat Pens. 4. June 20, 1995. Jersey Jim wins it in Detroit. 5. May 26, 2000. Stevens pwns Lindros, Elias scores 2, Devils win. 6. June 1, 2000. Devils win Game 1 over Dallas, 7-3. 7. June 10, 2000. Arnott scores in Double OT, Devils win 2nd Cup. 8. May 23, 2003. Devils beat Ottawa in Game 7 of ECF. 9. June 9, 2003. Devils beat Anaheim 3-0 to win 3rd Cup. 10. April 18, 2006. Langenbrunner scores with 4 minutes to go, Devs come back from three down in MTL to win the Division. Anyone? Picks?
NJDevils_Rock
May 2 2003 - Grant Marshall Triple Overtime clincher That was a crazy game.... I will never forget how tired I was and how badly I wanted that game to end in a win.
Devil Fan
1) Our opener from last season, down 6-3 going into the 3rd but win 7-6 (SO) 2) Last game of the reg. season of 2006, 4-3 over Montreal gave us the Division title 3) second game of the 2006 playoffs against the Rags with Madden scored a hat trick (2 SH). 4) Game 6 against the leafs of the 2000 playoffs as the leafs registered a pathetic, league-record 6 shots in a playoff game. pattyelias
I would get rid of the 7-3 game one win over Dallas and throw in game four against Detroit. Nothing beats that first cup.

DaneykoIsGod
The last two games of the '00 Finals were some of the best hockey I've ever seen. Even though we lost Game 5, that game combined with Game 6 made up for 11 periods (if I'm not mistaken) of the best goaltending duel I've ever witnessed. Devilsdude530
I was young for '95, so i don't remember all of those games, but all of those seem like great picks. I was at #6 and #9 from your list, both great games. Game 1 vs. Dallas was the loudest I've ever heard a sporting event, the building literally felt like it was shaking. I've never been more on the edge of my seat than the third period of Game 7 vs. Ottawa in 03. The Lindros game was a close second. Marty summed up that game best "That was the nicest feeling I've ever had in another team's building, hearing how we quieted that crowd."All in All, great list. PS: if you want to count dominant efforts, how bout the clinching game 6 vs. the leafs (May 8, 2000 i believe) where the Devils only allowed 6 shots. Weekes Head
Forgive me, I haven't read the other posts in this thread so I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Madden/McKay 4-goal-each game was pretty nutty, 'specially since neither one got the game winning goal. Oh Turner Stevenson...I hope his pee-pee feels better these days.
Don
that just made this thread pretty awkward...
NJCroMag
2. 1996 Devils beat rangers 3-0 on Claude's 2 goals and someone else got an EN (My first Devils game)
DaneykoIsGod
This can't be right. Lemieux was traded in the off-season after the Devils won their first Cup (1995). Yep, that's how we got Stumpy. Maybe it was Jocelyn Lemieux, who I think was the aftermath of the Jimmy Dowd trade.
NJCroMag
Yep, that's how we got Stumpy. Maybe it was Jocelyn Lemieux, who I think was the aftermath of the Jimmy Dowd trade. That would make more sense but I don't think Jocelyn Lemieux scored two goals TOTAL when he was with the Devils. Best as I can remember, he was pretty darn useless. Weekes Head
Ha, that would be funny. Jocelyn Lemieux was awful.
daneyko_booster
Speaking of useless Devils, I've been thinking about getting a Jim Korn jersey. I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear one other than Jim himself.
