GDT: 10/11 Portland @ Lowell

I missed the beginning of the game. No game on 1510 Listen Live - sounds like some NASCAR thing on there right now. The audio on ahllive is awful. Can't hear anything except a buzz. So this may be the most useless GDT ever. But I'll post it anyway. :P

Start: McKenna Magnan Taormina Sestito Snetsinger Davis

Scratch: Frazee, Cohen, Palmieri Cormier

Lines:

Snetsinger Sestito Davis

Vasyunov Swift Castonguay

Zharkov Walter Perkovich

Gionta Mills Robitaille

Taormina Magnan, Davison Eckford, Leach Corrente

End of 1: Lowell 1 - 0

LOW Perkovich, (1) (Walter, Zharkov), 11:45

End of 2: Lowell 4 - 0

Mike O'B is yelling something. Can barely hear it above the buzz. I think Lowell scored. I'll have to wait until the ahl scoresheet catches up with the game....

Yes..Lowell scored 2 - 0

LOW Snetsinger, (1) (Davis, Leach), 5:16

Oh, wait. Sounds like Lowell scored again.

LOW Zharkov, (1) (Perkovich, Magnan), 6:28

More yelling. Another goal?

LOW Sestito, (2) (Davis, Snetsinger), 12:15

Portland goalie Enroth replaced by Lamoureux.

Final: Lowell 4 - 0. 1st win!

Shots: Portland 38, Lowell 41, PP: Portland 0/6, Lowell 0/5. Good job by the PK during the 5 on 3 at the end of the game to keep the shutout. Sounds like things got a little nasty at the end.

Stars:

1. LOW - 1 Mike McKenna

2. LOW - 14 Nathan Perkovich

3. LOW - 17 Vladimir Zharkov

Whats up with Palmieri and Nagy?

Nothing seriouse i hope.

Good to see the first win of the season, how did Vasyunov do, any indications if he has made any improvements over the summer?

nagy is probably not hurt.

palmieri who knows but i think in the AHL players tend to rotate in and out a lot more due to the schedule and the relative youth of the players.

Thanks for the game write-up, Birch! Thanks for spotting

Here's a write-up about McKenna.

Here's a little about Greg Flynn, #37 D, from his last gig.

PS - Now that they've figured out how to put up a W, they might rotate Nagy or Palmieri back into the line-up. I'd like to see Nagy skate.
