Don
Big Balls - AC/DC : I was 12 years old, Grade 7, we had a school bus driver like Otto from the Simpsons. He hooked up big stereo speakers at the back of the bus and blared Bon Scott AC/DC just about every day. Megalomania - Black Sabbath: Odd that band stayed together for as long as they did. Half their songs are about how God exists, the other about how God doesn't exist. Which makes sense since Ozzy was an athiest and Tony Iommi was/is Christian. --------------- Here's what I was listening to tonight: He's not smart, a C student And that's after buying his way into school Beady eyes, and he's kinda dyslexic Can he read? No one's really quite sure He signs stuff and he executes people Maybe that's why, he doesn't have any friends Cocaine and a little drunk driving Doesn't matter, when you're the Commander in Chief. Idiot son of an a$$hole, He's the idiot son of an a$$hole Idiot son of an a$$hole, He's the idiot son of an a$$hole He's too dumb, to eat pretzels, apparently smart enough to fix an election. Moved boldly into the White House, but most people voted against him. He likes naps, He really likes naptime, A couple of naps and then a nap and then he's ready for bed, He may be from Bush decent, but he's always gonna be the unpresident. Idiot son of an a$$hole, He's the idiot son of an a$$hole Idiot son of an a$$hole, He's the idiot son of an a$$hole He's our president! Elias 2662
Not all of their songs dealt with religion, but they did deal with gloomy things (booze, drugs, world destruction) and I love them for that too. I mean Zeppelin's good too but it's outrageous how many love songs they have. Also I don't know if you know this but Black Sabbath was given the satanic tag somewhat unfairly as the producers put an inverted cross in their debut album without the band's permission. Of course the song Black Sabbath itself can scare off the average person by itself. EDIT: I'd much rather listen to Scott than the garbage rap played on my bus (I'm 14) Edited January 30, 2004 by Elias 2662
Don
Poor you. We loved listening to AC/DC. (-: -------- I love listening to Zepplin, but you are right. Half are love songs. The other half are about "Lord of the Rings". Plant must have really loved the books.... -------- Even Sabbath's drug related songs are contradictory. Some are pro-drug-use (Sweet Leaf), others are anti-drug-use. I swear Ozzy was schitzophrenic before he boozed himself up so much that every brain cell in his head died. Don
Floyd, sure. Love "The Wall". Only Jethro Tull I have is "Aqualung", but I like it. But Nugent and I don't exactly see eye-to-eye on things.

Don
I wake up to this song just about every morning... the radio station my alarm is set to play it all the time. http://www.fartfarm.com/SONG_.wav There was an old farmer who lived by a rock He sat in the meadow a'shaking his Fist at the boys who were down by the crick Their feet in the water, their hands on their Marbles and playthings and in days of yore There came a young lady. She looked like a Pretty young creature, she sat on the grass She pulled up her dresses and showed us her Ruffles and laces and white puffy duck She said she was learning a new way to Bring up her children and learn them to knit While the boys in the barnyard were shoveling Refuse and litter from yesterday's hunt While the girl in the meadow was rubbing her Eyes at the fellows as girls sometimes do To make it quite clear that she wanted to Go for a nice, pleasant stroll on the grass Then hurry back home for a nice piece of Ice cream and cake that stood three layers tall And after desert she was ready to Go for another walk down by the dock With any young man with a sizeable Roll of one hundreds and a big bulge up front If he'd ask politely, she'd show him her Little pet dog who was subject to fits Then maybe she'd let him grab hold of her Small tender hands with a movement so quick Then she'd bend on over and suck on his Soda so sweetly 'til she finished it Then pull down her panties to rub on her Hip that she bruised when she ran down the hall 'Cause he tried to force her to lick on his Candy so tasty made of butterscotch And then he spread whip cream all over her Cookies that she had been baking all night If you think this is dirty, you know you're damned right! --------------- BTW - I don't get "tall" ... is that supposed to mean anything? Weekes Head
Autopilot Off - Clockwork (BTW...this song is on EA's NHL 2004) You're probably sick of being tired You can't find the strength to close your eyes You can't let go But you can't change everything Stop laying in this burning bed Write it on the walls and read it Bright red so you can see it Don't fail me now Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound At least for now Time's gonna warn you with a whisper What it wants to let you know You can't live in fear of the things that aren't for sure So stay alive by playing dead Write it on the walls and read it Bright red so you can see it Don't fail me now Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound Still there are lines for us to write before we close our eyes And only time will tell the ending when the ink runs dry Time will tell everything It's ever so quiet counting down Write it on the walls and read it Blood red so you can see it Life leaking out Write it on the walls and read it Until there are no secrets So safe and sound At least for now At least for now
shrubbery
I wish hockey had all the great songs soccer clubs have. I'll post 2 of my faves: Over and Over O-ver and O-ver, we will follow you, O-ver and O-ver, we will see you through, We are Celtic supporters, faithful through and through, and over and over, we will follow you. If you go to Germany, you will see us there, France or Spain its all the same, We'll go any where, We'll be there to cheer you, as you travel round, you can take us anywhere, we won't let you down. Chorus If you go to Lisbon, we'll go once again, In Zaire you'll find us there calling out your name, when you need supporting, you will always know, we'll be right there with you, every where you go. Chorus You'll Never Walk Alone When you walk through a storm, Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark, At the end of a storm, there's a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone...
