  1. No no no. Losing is good. Jack and Nico have learned so much the last 3 games. #LoseAndLearn!
  2. Shame that arena in Lakewood never got built 20 years ago
  3. Board it up, pack it in, move the team to Kansas City. The franchise is dead
  4. Fvck this ass clown franchise and all you losers who are pro tank
  5. Might not be the worst thing in the world. 7 inning doubleheader’s are dumb but at least it’s a huge advantage for the Mets with solid starters and avoiding the pen. Also, some of the games are getting bumped back - hopefully Syndergaard will be back for a few of them.
  6. Yes! Another loss! Guys we should be happy, I’ve been told losing is a good thing! This next draft pick is going to be the one to change everything! Yes! Another loss! Guys we should be happy, I’ve been told losing is a good thing! This next draft pick is going to be the one to change everything! The players learned a lot and had fun! That’s what really matters for development!
  7. Zacha and Bratt better be in walking boots if they’re sitting out tonight.
  8. If you watch the Hughes last shift and think he’s the problem, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
  9. Teams that win the hit battle tend to lose the game. It’s an indicator of not having the puck. The Rangers bodied the devils up and down the ice
  10. This game is going to be a pain. Kept them quiet most of the night. Once Bratt shot directly into the pads 20 seconds in, this had 2-0 loss written all over it.
  11. The hope is this kid is of the ilk and can eat those minutes. We shall see
  12. We traded Kulikov and a 3rd for Seigs and a 4th. That’s a win
  13. Removing Kulikov tonight means when have zero LHD Pkers. Hence Subban and Severson out there together. Neither freaking can kill, let alone together
  14. Bratt great back check leaving Guentzel wide open. It’s ok though. #LosingAndLearning whoops wrong thread
  15. Alright! Hughes line turnover odd man goal the other way. Bratt having NO IDEA where to go off a dzone faceoff and another goal. That’s it boys, lose to move up a spot so we get that better pick!
  16. When we were barren, it made perfect sense to tank. I’m not “anti tank no matter what”. I’m anti tank year 5/6/7 into a rebuild with a stocked cupboard. Losing 100% takes a toll on the players. The Devils sucking down the stretch would be a warning sign that “hey maybe these players aren’t quite as good as we thought they were/need them to be.” The longer time you spend in the wilderness, the longer it takes to get out of it.
  17. This isn’t a “rough patch”. This is going into 5+ years of a rebuild. Tell me what Blackwood is learning getting lit up every night. Tell me what good going 0-4 vs the Rangers this week would do for Hughes going forward. No thanks. True growth for the franchise would be Hughes potting more points. Zacha stepping into the Zajac role and shutting down the NYR top dogs. I want to see Bratt stop being so god damn lazy in the dzone and on the forecheck. I want to see this team develop an identity instead of playing out the string. If you don’t think showing positive growth in Ruff’s system is an important step going into next season, I don’t know what to tell you. I’m not trying to convince myself of anything. Winning, at this point, is good. You’re trying to convince yourself that the toxic culture and acceptance of losing which has seeped into this franchise is a positive. The team we have now is largely going to be the same team we start next season with. Sitting here and perpetually increasing your odds to bump up a slot in the draft in hopes of drafting the right player is a defeatist attitude. For every Makar you point to, I could bring up a Barzal passed over.
  18. You are what your record says you are. Period. Winning is contagious, so is losing. If these kids continue losing, that’s probably an indicator that they aren’t going to be as good as we think they are. I’m not advocating buying at the deadline. We have young players, we have prospects knocking on the door, and we have picks. It’s not 2015 anymore. The cupboard isn’t bare, we have young players here and in waiting. To me, it’s preposterous to think finishing closer to 31 is more beneficial to the future than finishing near 20, for where we are in the rebuild. The core of the rebuild is already here. Hughes, Hischier, Zacha, Smith, Blackwood, etc. Them stepping up and picking up wins down the stretch will be much more developmental than losing out and hoping for a better pick. Spare me
  19. Could not disagree more. Winning has to matter
  20. Failure to get the puck out as a group. PK needs to eat it on the wall or chip it off the glass. Bratt’s in great position to pressure the shot at the point and he glides in like the controller died
