I'd love to attend more games, however being a devils fan on LI, it isn't exactly cheap to go (even if tickets are cheap). You need 2 round trip train tickets, one for ny and one for jersey. Then you add on 2 tickets, and whatever food/drinks you get. Then you have to worry if its bad weather because the LIRR cant function correctly in anything but sunny weather (and it has a hard time doing that). Not to mention I have to leave really early to get there (its an hr to get to penn (the main one in ny from the nassau/suffolk border where I am). Then have to wait for the train to jersey penn.. Its just not that feasible to go that often. And theres no way I'm driving to newark from LI. I wish I lived closer to the pru center, but I love NY more and rather live here, so I'll deal with only seeing the devils as the home team a few times a year. MSG is expensive but very easy to get to from LI, so I go there and the coliseum to watch the devils, and if they ever do another stadium series I'll go back to yankee stadium. (really hope they do it at citi field for us LI devil fans, a short 30 min trip on the LIE)

Actually the islanders will draw well all season for a few reasons. 1. Finally a good team 2. Last year at the coliseum and 3 cheaper seats

at least in NY (Real NY, the city and LI) its mets jets islanders, and rangers, giants yankees. Then there's me as a devils fan, but sadly a mets and jets fan. and as many have pointed out before, the guy who starts the fire hugh thread saying management sucks, asks whats wrong with the fanbase. YOU ARE WHATS WRONG WITH THE FANBASE, and other "fans' like you, who just all happen to be babies who are upset with the goal song change and feel the need to add you suck just bc thats the only chant you can comprehend.

The 2nd two goals were well place shots, cory had 0 chance.

Corys just an average to slightly above average goalie, we got spoiled watching a legend for 20 yrs. Now playing the puck he's the worst goalie in the nhl.

Prob 1- too many penalties. Prob 2- cory let's in very soft goals Prob 3- we can't score and lose OK severson just scored, but 1 and 2 are still problems

I personally could care less about the goal song, I'm just happy they score a goal period. The ys chant sounds stupid, childish, and is in no ways a tradition, but if you want to act like an idiot and chant along like a 5th grader go ahead. Yes as a whole it makes our fan base look bad, but if your happy with that keep on saying you suck at random points in the goal song. Living on LI I go to alot of islander games and there fans have a great time without chanting you suck after a goal. (actually they did when they had r&r part 1 as there goal song but STOPPED when they quickly changed it)., They chant yes after a goal, which I still don't get, but there having fun and thats all that counts. Also for people who say hockey isnt a "family or kid sport" the isles have tons of families and kids at every game and are prob the most kid friendly team in the tri-state area.

The ys chant sounds so more childish then it did before since now it's just babies yelling you suck randomly.

As a Long Islander whose never visited the "jersey shore" I didn't know that.

sad thing is he isn't alone. There are a lot of dumb idiots especially in the devils facebook group which give the fanbase a bad name.

this is just pathetic and sad. So they will pay off all debt the last owner had, will keep our team in jersey, re-did alot of the concessions with more of a jersey theme. They take away the song so people cant yell you suck and all of a sudden these owners suck? Should we go back to the previous owners, with the debt, which WAS the reason players didn't come here, and part of the reason lou couldnt do any moves that required $$.

Oh well, 3-1 to start the seasons pretty good. Just got back from the Islanders game and must say that there team is pretty good.
