You know it's interesting to see who we've played. We haven't had an easy schedule so far. Dallas, Washington, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Boston, Vancouver, San Jose, NY Rangers, Los Angeles. These are all teams that are having pretty decent seasons(I haven't looked at Colorado's record). With the exception of the Rags and Dallas these are all teams that made the playoffs last year. The only anomaly was our second game against Buffalo. We really haven't had to face a hard luck team like ourselves except Montreal and Anaheim.

So it can't get any worse especially on defense. The Leafs are 1-5-1 in their last 7 and they are having trouble scoring. Is this the time that Lou puts an offer on the table for Kaberle? Perhaps Langs/Clarkson for Kab + ? Are things even harder now that Parise is out. We all thought we could make some defensive improvements but our offense is starting to take a hit with Rolston, Parise and Josefson out. What to do what to do?

You know your team is pretty dissappointing when they look like they're always on the PK in their own end even when they're not.

It's not Oates' fault. He only helps with the song writing and instrumentation. Sometimes he does the backing vocals. Our power play is just like last year. No one in front of the net, we can't shrink down the four man box. Other teams have scouted our PP and know that when the defense gets on the puck handler he usually fumble the puck and creates a turnover.

I recall that the first two games we played(Stars and Caps) it was primarily Marty who looked shaky. Then Volchenkov was injured but Marty started to improve his game. Only issue is whether or not we can hold it together lon enough to have a successful season. Right now it doesn't seem that way. From here on out whenever we lose a game that hurts our chances of getting an 8th spot exponentially harder.
