    Z-man Is My New Hero

I dont' know, he seems like a decent guy. Not a big hollywood celebrity or anything...he was a notorious party animal when she married him but nothing too serious.

who's to say any player would? he's talented enough to succeed anywhere

    The Season May Be Lost

Elias and Gomez have played with physical players before, didn't do much. Marshall is probably the smallest and least physical of our checking forwards. Rheaume, Stevenson, and Mckenzie are all tougher and better hitters, Rupp can be if he applies himself. Marshall is like Pandolfo only a better skater & a better passer, but he's not intimidating and won't open up any ice. he was a depth player added to the roster as Lou prepared for another trade. What the Devils needed was Selanne, too bad the deal fell apart.

    The Season May Be Lost

Elias and Gomez were coming out of the slump in Calgary, that was before Marshall got here. sorry if courteney bothers you, I'll admit it isn't the best pic, I'll find a better one.

    The Season May Be Lost

you're fooling yourself if you think Marshall is a physical presence, he's not big at all and bounces off of everything he tries to hit. speed I guess he has, and he seems to be an ok passer, but he doesn't add the scoring depth of a Selanne or Satan, that's what this team truly needs. 0 goals in 56 playoff games, damn, even Dano does better than that.

    The Season May Be Lost

I liken Marshall to Ben Hakinson, interchangeable and useless. Stick Rupp or Rheaume in there with Marshall, each have there strengths and weaknesses but none of them can score, and that's what we need.

that's a joke, on a cup contender Marshall would be getting 6 minutes a night on the 4th line or be in the minors. Lou had a trade done for Selanne, it fell through at the last minute. No other explanation for all the bizarre occurences over the past few days.
  14. tough to get a feel for this game.... Devils- 4 Rangers- 3

Elias is finally back for good (I hope) he had a great scoring chance earlier.
  19. I'd love to see Devils/Bruins in the 1st round, you know a Ftorek led team is going to choke. We beat them in the old Gahden and we'll beat them in the new Gahden (well not so new anymore) Devils in 7 Sens vs. Isles- Heart says Isles, head says Sens. Ottawa in 7 but Yashin will have a good series Caps vs. Lightning- Sorry, Tampa will have to wait another year to win there first playoff series, Caps in 6. Flyers vs. Leafs- Great great series, really hoping this one happens. I'd have to say Leafs in 7 Stars vs. Oilers- Renewing a great rivalry, I'd love to see the Oil win but it will probably be Dallas in 6 Canucks vs. Mighty Ducks- Vancouver in 5 Wings vs. Wild- Wild give Detroit fits but Red Wings pull it out in 7 Avalanch vs. Blues- Avs in 6, Forsberg and Sakic tear Osgood apart anyway, it's too early for this
  20. Metro channel is starting to turn into the home shopping network with those dumbass sports auctions....no I don't want a clark gillies autographed puck, get back to the damn game.
  21. ok so when are they going to carry it and what channel will it be on? I hope it replaces some crap like speedvision or the golf channel I went to the cablevision site and apparently there is another round of channel changes due for Bergen County on 4/17/03 http://www.cablevision.com/customer/servic...annels_new.html is that when we're getting YES?

    If A Lot Of Us

they feel deflated, probably a little ticked off that Lou gave up.
  23. I'm with Lou when it comes to 3rd Jerseys, let the fad pass and don't embarrass yourself
  24. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/powerranking 1 (1) Senators 44-18-7-1 They add three players without giving up anyone on their active roster. They know they're broke, right? 2 (2) Canucks 40-18-11-1 It's called dancing with the date that brought you. 3 (3) Stars 39-14-15-2 If it ain't broke, why fix it? 4 (4) Avalanche 34-16-12-7 You know something went wrong somewhere when Bates Battaglia is Pierre Lacroix's biggest deadline day pickup. 5 (6) Red Wings 39-18-9-3 Point on the No. 1 power-play unit: Nik Lidstrom. Point on the No. 2 power-play unit: Mathieu Schneider. Sick. Just plain sick. 6 (8) Blues 36-19-8-6 The Blues are determined to prove a Stanley Cup champion is not built from the net out. 7 (7) Maple Leafs 38-26-5-1 Finally, the Leafs live up to their billing as the Yankees of the NHL. 8 (5) Devils 39-18-6-5 Forty-six players changed hands and the Devils couldn?t find one who could help them on the power play? 9 (9) Flyers 35-18-11-4 We like the trade for Tony Amonte, but going from scoring trouble on a team where the pressure is on him, to a team that has trouble scoring and the pressure is on everyone doesn't sound like a dream come true. 10 (10) Capitals 33-25-8-5 Darryl Sutter once said he likes trading for live bodies because draft picks sometimes turn into bartenders. In this case, a bartender would be more useful than Sergei Berezin. 11 (11) Wild 34-24-9-1 Lost in Tuesday's flurry of trades: the Wild extended Dwayne Roloson's contract. Will they extend Manny Fernandez's, too? 12 (12) Mighty Ducks 33-25-8-4 Lost among the winners and losers, the Ducks have more pluck with Steve Thomas and will give some unsuspecting first-round opponent fits. 13 (15) Lightning 30-23-11-5 Kudos to GM Jay Feaster for not getting greedy and accepting the fact that success is a one-year-at-a-time thing. 14 (19) Predators 27-26-10-5 Considering the moves Rangers GM Glen Sather has made this season, the Predators might want to think about putting him on their payroll. 15 (14) Oilers 30-24-8-8 Tuesday's deadline dealings turned their 5-2 win over Calgary into their most important game of the season. 16 (13) Islanders 30-28-9-2 Apparently, Rick DiPietro's time is now. 17 (16) Bruins 31-27-8-4 Great, two defensemen who used to play college hockey in Boston. Pretty soon, the Bruins will be a Beanpot All-Star team -- which wouldn't be a bad thing. 18 (23) Rangers 28-32-9-2 The fact Anson Carter used to play for Ron Mason at Michigan State is as close as the Rangers came to improving their defense yesterday. 19 (17) Kings 29-32-4-4 Pardon the drool on GM Dave Taylor's tie. It's what happens when you've got to get rid of a top-end defenseman and your secretary yells, "Ken Holland's on the phone!" 20 (18) Canadiens 25-29-9-9 Now that Doug Gilmour is gone, making the playoffs got a bit tougher. 21 (21) Coyotes 27-28-9-4 Three minor leaguers for Jan Hrdina and Daniel Briere for Chris Gratton make the Coyotes the biggest theifs of trade day. 22 (20) Penguins 25-36-4-5 They were going to trade Mario's son before he agreed to deferred payments on his allowance. 23 (22) Blackhawks 25-29-10-5 GM Mike Smith doesn't consider the Phil Housley and Sergei Berezin deals as trades. He prefers to call them "do overs." 24 (24) Panthers 22-27-12-9 Valeri Bure to the Blues. Perhaps the only thing that could make Rick Dudley and Mike Keenan happy on the same day. 25 (25) Sharks 25-33-6-5 It's difficult to believe Ron Wilson signed up for this. 26 (29) Flames 23-32-10-4 First Jordan Leopold, then Mike Mottau, now Mike Commodore. Since when have U.S. college defensemen been considered collectibles? 27 (26) Thrashers 23-35-6-4 The happiest GM? Don Waddell. With fire sales in Buffalo and Pittsburgh, there is no way they can finish last next year, right? (just watch, another useless filler team) 28 (27) Blue Jackets 24-35-7-3 What good is a trade deadline when what you really need is a coach? 29 (28) Sabres 21-32-9-6 Get the feeling there were more unhappy Sabres after the trade deadline than relieved ones? 30 (30) Hurricanes 21-34-9-6 Were things ever this bad in Hartford? (no, the whalercanes have no hope for the playoffs until after the strike, no offense, no defense, shakey goaltending)
