Heres my plan: Move a team, lets say the Sabres, to Mexico City....trade Satan, and whoever else they want to NJ for Gomez and $....then trade all the other players in the Sabres roster for $...then start tryouts...have Mexico City and Mexico residents make the team...play those players in pesos...they wont mind, because they will be so happy to get any form of $....even if the team goes 3-77-4 who cares, you collect gate from the road games and merchandising will be good...jersey can have a burrito on skates to something to that effect...the cost of runninng the team will be minimal...it can be a gold mine!!!

I equate "No Goal" with the new jerseys too, thats why I want the goat retired, want to remove that memory from my mind!

Derek21, your hope has to be that Mr Jame$ Dolan looks at the other team that occupies M$G, the New York Knicks, and realize that making moves with a plan in place like Isiah Thomas is doing gets positive feedback from their fans..maybe Dolan will see that and realize the Rangers should do the same thing.

Derek, you have serious issues Im afraid to say....see me as a Sabres fan, I have set my goals realistically going forward, just making the playoffs is the Holy Grail, so Im at ease....I dont expect things like the Stanley Cup, thats for others to enjoy... Now the Rangers havent made the playoffs for 6 years I know, but you know darn well sooner or later with a decent GM and coach, theyll be Cup contenders again....and you should expect that...and you still do with this team for whatever reason...They have flaws right now, should they make the playoffs? Perhaps based on names and talent yes, but there are holes... Just enjoy the games, it seems to me your pleasue with the Rangers is to take displeasure with them, just my 2 cents

You really think 95 percent dont care? Id love to see a poll and id bet some cash that it will be much lower then that.... This is not about the other sports, its about the NHL, this is a simple change they can make, its not asking for much if you ask me....if a casual fan cannot learn what the division names mean or determine that San Jose is in the West and New York is in the East...you shouldnt have fallen asleep in geography class...or go to randmcnally.com and get yourself a map. Why must everything be made so easy for everyone? Im just talking about one aspect here, but hey if you like the generic division names, thats your choice
