You can figure it out where and how Devils missed their opportunities. I see a lot of missclicks. But it`s a matter of time and chemistry. They will play better when spend more time with each others. Of course if they will not hit mental wall. Video is only about offensive game.

Bad thing I can`t buy ahltv this season. ANd new job can give me an opportunity to watch game in the late night time. May be I will find some opportunities to watch. Team have problems with centers this season. Doesn`t have first line center. May be they think Thompson will play this role this season, they tried to use him as center in previous season, but move him on the wing after. This season is very important for Foote, Walsh(who cares, but may be he can find a job in different organisation), Clarke, Thompson and for Bahl and Okhotiuk. For their development. NHL spots closed for this season, but could be very opened the next year.

Would be better to send Nemec in SHL for one full year, but this isn`t the case. Guy is pretty talented, he should figure it out. Previous season team, that play in playoff, scored more than missed. +30 is a bottom line. Defensive structure should be better and goalies should be better this season. With league average SV% this team should miss 245-260 goals, if they will continue or be better in defensive zone. Thanks God he heard my prey and Fitz traded Ty Smith away. New coach McGill should help. East is more competitive this season, teams like Ottawa and Detroit have better top-6 than some of play off teams. I like their top-6 may be even better than ours. May be on the level. We have good third line pool and defense. So if everybody can stay more healthy than not(especially Nico, Jack, Jesper and Dougie), this team should score 270 goals to compete for play off spot, because I can`t imagine they can have low numbers of goals against. I believe Devils have material for scoring this amount of goals, especially if one of Zett or Holtz will score 20 or more. But our core players should play 70-75+ games. Without them or with bad goaltending this team will not compete for play off. Even if Vegas missed playoff when their core players were injury, what can we say about Devils. I`m waiting 84-94 points. It could changed, if two or more core players will miss a lot of games, or our goaltending will svck again. Or if Zett and Holtz will pan out at the same time and Mercer will make next big step. If Nico, Jack and Bratt will stay healthy most of the time and Holtz and Mercer will score 50 goals together, this team can make next step on the longer distance. I like the team and what kind of job Fitz made. He adressed 5on5 goaltending, board game, third center position, defensive building. Now it`s time to see what will work and what will not. LGD!

Remember this days when everybody wait how Fitz will waive Zett and save Geertsen in roster. I like Devils line uo, especially when Nico will play. I don`t understand when team will replace his body part and make him cyborg finally?

He is perfect defensive forward. He read the game very well and can make an impact even without touching the puck. But game after game he losing good chances. If he scroed every third breakaway he has he could has 3-4 more goals. Anyway good game from him.

Holtz was looking good when he played healthy. I saw him before the draft day, I watching him closely after. He wasn`t ready for NHL last year, but he was good in AHL, he wasn`t ready enough and I would say he wasn`t healthy enough for AHL year before, but he was very good in the first half of the season year before. He wasn`t no where close to name him a bust anywhere. Only if someone had some high expectaions or was biased. Someone can call him bust if he will not light up NHL this year, but in reality for his way of the game it`s way to early for that kind of mark. And he was drafted where he should. For example Shakir was drafted higher, but he played solid enough to not worry about him at least at this moment of development. Stillman wasn`t good at all last year. And we are talking about OHL. It wasn`t SHL or AHL. He can`t finish his checks, he loses posession, he loses zones to cover, he open zones for opponents. He should work a lot on his game. And his path is long. It`s not that bad, he can develope his game 4 more years or even more, we have Bastian and Zetterlund, we can try Clark in top-9, Mercer and Holtz are still there. Even if he will not pan out - nothing dangerous. Prospect pool is great. But in the moment of time we could draft Morrow and draft Perevalov this year instead of Casey, or draft Knies instead of Stillman. Stillman wasn`t as good to be picked even 10-15 picks later like Shakir in his year. Anyway it isn`t nothing special, Tampa and Colorado drafted enough of bad picks. It`s important how you can compensate it by later picks. Devils drafted a lot of good players in later rounds.

Johnsson can't click and losing meters in the game everywhere. Okhotiuk is good and better on the short distances, better positionally but Bahl better with the puck and close gaps more. I think they prefer Bahl,at least for now. He is first candidate for "bust" nomination in Fitz era. I understand what kind if game he us trying to play, but he needs to gain a lot of muscles and working on his game very hard.

I understand what Fitz is actually is trying to build and find on the draft. Orlov is a "modern defensive defenseman", who is very good skater, can join the rush, help with transition, play with the stick and control the gaps very tightly. I like how he control the gap, how he is closing the zones. Good stick work, very good positional game.

He tries to play ahead, which I like, but he is in a hurry for about half a step, which eventually creates an opportunity for the player to attack. actually, in later games, he performed better in similar situations. And may be even should. Because core players are still very young and inexperienced. They will be better, they could finally crack the top-8, but I just can`t say "they finally ready". They will be ready when goalies will not sh`t the bed and Nico, Jack, Bratt, Dawson and full D core will make the next step. When they make it, then they will make it. Simple and clear. The example of Colorado in full. This club has everything to fight for serious places and aim weapons at serious targets. All these young players in total should become critically good. No partners and no coaches would have made Jack ready for big challenges at the age of 18. He's ready now. It's the same with the rest of the players. And I realy hope, this year is the year, I just can`t wait for it. I believe they should be better overall, but will lose some points here and there. On the east every team should fight for every points and fight from beggining to the end in every game. And I can`t imagine how this young leaders could walk through 82 games path without critical mistakes. And of course I have enough of critique about the game of the team overall. Team is very good on the rushes, but good teams prevent them. Team is very bad on the draw and without it I can`t see, how they will crack top-8.

He doesn't drive the play. I believe he can make impact in pp. Would mean much how good he can in neuteral and in d zone without the puck. And with whom he will play. If he will play with Nico, he should face tough minutes, if he will play with Jack, he will face tough defense, if he will play with Boqvist or Haula, he should play some defensive role and could lost time without good setups. I think he should start in nhl and spend some time with better competition. He won't learn to play in nhl if he will not spend time in nhl. But I would slow down expectations. In the last years most of successful Calder finalists were good drivers and/or players capable for two way game at least. I think, as he did before, he should spend one year for understanding new level of the game and after translate it, understand the timings and find open space.
