Derek21
Thought this deserved its own thread. Scott Gomez was close to retiring following a brief stint with the Blues. Players told him not to. Interesting advice and help he got from Adam Oates. Pretty cool. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/01/sports/hockey/scott-gomez-a-onetime-rookie-star-is-again-an-nhl-prospect.html?_r=0 Edited February 1, 2016 by Derek21
hit the post
For whatever reasons his skills were never the same after leaving to play for the Rangers.I watched him live all those years in NJ and he really was a great play maker with great vision of the ice. I agree he could help a teams PP for sure and hope he finds a spot somewhere in NHL to prove it .
Colorado Rockies 1976
Actually, his first three seasons after leaving the Devils were very Gomer-like...he was just overpaid for what he was, which somehow became his fault. His production plummeted after that though.
thecoffeecake
He can still play. His points per 60 were pretty good with the blues i think. I watched him a few times with st Louis, he still has that vision.
