Hope everyone appreciates the time spent in these enlightening words: ETC. Several owners and GM's are bitter about the way the Rangers do business but Los Angeles Kings' president Tim Leiweke speaks candidly about it. He called the $45 million signing of Bobby Holik last summer "economic suicide and the stupidest thing I've ever seen." Then he got nasty, adding: "The New York Rangers are spending $80 million and we're a better team than they are. I love our fans but at the end of the day, that's not the answer. If (Kings fans) are waiting for us to spend $80 million, they should move to New York and buy season tickets for the Rangers. They have alot of overpaid, egotistical athletes and don't make the playoffs. Two things make me happy: the Kings winning and the Rangers losing." Three cheers for Tim Leiweke, our new hero! But, that doesn't guarantee winning as we all know by now. Let's see how they fare when the new CBA will take place after next season. Will their ship sink even more?
