LaCava83
Devils Got bumped to MSG PLUS 2. http://www.msg.com/overflow/d-channel-info.html'>http://www.msg.com/overflow/d-channel-info.html Im in East Brunswick NJ and was wondering if anyone remembers which channel MSG+2 was last year. Also I have HD this year so is MSG+2 in HD or do I get screwed because of the overflow???? Looks like there may be more overflow games this year than in years past. http://www.msg.com/overflow/
DevilNurn
Well I currently live in Syracuse but when I live in NJ I'm in East Brunswick. MSG+2 won't be in HD, and traditionally for me it's been something like channel 10 or channel 26. I have Comcast though, so it depends which provider you have. Triumph
lacava: yeah probably, because of the density of games thanks to the olympics. i know that MSG+2 on time warner in brooklyn was channel 51, if that helps anyone. 95Crash
Oh crap, you gotta be kidding me. ... We wait ALL summer for Opening Night and it gets bumped to MSG+2? ... That friggin sucks bigtime, especially if you have Cablevision like me. Here is an accurate description of Cablevision's MSG+2, courtesy of Bulletproof (from the Verizon thread): Cablevision : MSG+2 (overflow) - Probably the worst SD feed in the history of TV. Looks like old hockey footage from the 80's Of course, I'd rather just go to the game and not have to deal with bad TV reception, but my in-laws are coming in from California for the weekend. robdeselich88
with isles bound to be better a better then last season with draftees... any games that they were on for the overflow, the devils were bumped too it.
njskaguy33
Thanks for the quote, 95 Yeah, thats really shame the opener got bumped to the overflow, but it almost makes sense. MSG has the Rangers, which of course they get first dibs...it's their network and on MSG+, it's Pittsburgh at Islanders, which I guess makes sense considering the Pens are reigning champs and all. Still, it stings to be bumped by the Isles...oh well, at least I'll be at the game! For those of you who can't make it, you'ld be better off listening it to it on the radio and then catching the highlights than watching it on Cablevision overflow. It's that bad. funetiklee
typically for me these games are standard def and on the freaking tv guide channel. i have fios this year, not sure if it will be better or not. i know i don't have the nhl network now that i switched to fios which is brutal (no golf channel either)... Sorry to inform you but no HD feed for any of the MSG channels on FIOS. It was the only thing I disliked about the FIOS product (beyond billing). But it's out of Verizon's hands. DeVFaN
I get the feeling its going to be hard to find a bar in the city to watch the game at. Does anyone know of a bar in the downtown area that I can watch the game at?

I'm in East Brunswick too, and, assuming you have Comcast as well, we don't get MSG+2. This is complete BS. Sometimes, I can find the Devils randomly on channel 20 when they are on MSG+2, but I can't guarantee that. Does anyone know if the game will be streaming on yahoo or anything? I think they move MGS+2 around as needed which sux. Here is the link from MSG for the fist game: http://www.msg.com/channellistings/d-channel-info.html'>http://www.msg.com/channellistings/d-channel-info.html And this will take to to the main page for the other overflow games this season. http://www.msg.com/channellistings/ Hope this helps. xxchaznjxx
on Directv, MSG+2 is 636. of course, it's not in HD, which kind of bums me out. it's tough not seeing games in HD after you've been spoiled. especially since it's the season opener.
