sundstrom
15 years old. so much for having any semblance of childhood. at 15, i assumed college was animal house (at 18 i my thoughts were confirmed ). how can you make a decision about which college you're going to at 15?! langs15
That commitment to go to MSU at age 15 can backfire when he actually has to go!

Pepperkorn
MSU sucks too But there are TONS of people who know what school they're going to at 15 if not at 10!! I had thought I was going to Michigan when I was little just because that's what the family did -- then at 11 I was pretty sure I was going to be a high school drop out. Basically it's not merely more school for this guy -- it's a career and you know what you want when you're a kid. It's not your parents telling you what's good for you. and you better know what you want at 15. Sure things can change on a dime but the kid knows what he wants and he has to start down the path - better sooner than later. Childhood is childhood - it's learning, making choices, testing the world. It's not carefree existance... it's learning how to exist by MAKING CHOICES trial and error that isn't irreprable because society says you aren't considered as accountable. But make no mistake you are fully capable! You have plenty of time to unmake dicisions if you find you have to. A ne're do well drugstore cowboy doin' dips in his buddies basement at 15 is better off than someone with direction? Man sundstrom - give kids credit. Will you scoff at your childrens ambitions thinking they're too stupid to know what they want? True you may have to venture into uncharted territory with them and it'll be scary but don't hide behind "you're a child" to dodge a tough choice OK? It's a big deal to me so pardon me if I overreact.
langs15
I have known what college I am going to for a long time. We'll I want to go to anyways...family members have gone there, BU and/or BC. But I don't think its a smart idea to commit your self at 15. I don't know if my opinion willl change on what college or not. Whatever...
