DonCorleone
First he allows Almo to leave, Subsequently we are missing a 50 goals scorer and decides to break-up the A-line in order to "Spread the wealth". When he realizes that the break up did more harm than good he tries to get them back together. They had lost some chemistry, so he decides to solve our scoring problems by trading the A-line. Now there is no pp and no scoring. Am I the only one having trouble seeing the logic of this?

Triumph
Don't worry, a lot of other people who miss the big picture are having trouble too.
DonCorleone
Don't worry, a lot of other people who miss the big picture are having trouble too. And I assume that you see a big bicture in trading away young talent.
Triumph
Yes, actually, I do.. I'd explain it, but I've done it 20 times on this board in the last year.. Maybe if it comes up again somewhere else.
insanity_gallops
Don, this topic has been brought up on seemingly a daily basis since the trades happened. This thread will probably still get a number of responses, but I think many people (probably myself included) will pass on commenting because it's all been said before. Just letting you know. Now let the arguments rage....

Risky
Lou knows what he's doing. The only move I do not agree with since the last cup is letting Alex Mogilny slip away. THE ONLY ONE. I still stand behind both the Arnott and the Sykora trades. Lou has more planned. Trust in Lou. Trust in Lou getting sniper for Patty. It's not that I don't miss and still like guys who are gone. And I'll have faith in Lou in that other thing cause I ALWAYS have faith in Lou. Risky
I miss the A-Line... but things change. I miss the 1995 cup team more than anything. Things change. Usually in NJ, the changes for the better happen more than for the worse because we can TRUST IN LOU. I'll miss Lou most of all when he's gone. THAT'S a scary time. Devils731
The bottom line for me is, I don't care who is in the Jersey as long as Jersey wins. -Scott
insanity_gallops
I'll miss Lou most of all when he's gone. THAT'S a scary time. Very true. How do I feel about this possibility? I think Shaggy said it best whenever he exclaimed, "Zoinks!" But Lou won't be going anywhere for a while. And he'll make sure his successor is well-versed in the ways of fiscal responsibility (though I am hoping his follower will occasionally make a bid for the big name free agents... but I won't hold my breath)
