Colorado Rockies 1976
EYJr. is 0-3 with 3 strikeouts. Welcome to the regular season. But he's the answer to the Mets' leadoff woes. Just ask Passive. At least Valverde's done a nice job coming out of the 'pen. Edited March 31, 2014 by Colorado Rockies 1976

Colorado Rockies 1976
13 Ks for Nats pitching. 2 BBs. Sandy does love acquiring hitters who don't hit for average, don't draw walks, but sure strike out a lot. Parnell in, one pitch, single up the middle. Nope, can't ever be easy. '7'
yikes. First pitch from Parnell is 89 right down the middle, base hit and here comes Laroche
nmigliore
Mets ignored Parnell's velocity all spring. Our genius front office. No need for Rodney or any decent reliever!!!

Sad thing is the starting pitching will keep them in some of those low-output games, then the bullpen will come in and promptly torch away the game. Colorado Rockies 1976
Quintanilla, Doofus, and Davis. Can you say 0-for-3 with at least 2 Ks? EDIT: Watching this on GameCast, who's really up for the Mets this inning? That's one K. Devils Dose
Quintanilla, Doofus, and Davis. Can you say 0-for-3 with at least 2 Ks.You can add d'Arnaud to that list. At least there's hope for big improvement from last year with him though.

dmann422
Just following game cast online at work- I notice the mets forum is complaining about an erratic strikezone. Is this the case? Of course it's not an excuse for having a pathetic bullpen but just wondering... Edited March 31, 2014 by dmann422
'7'
and now an outfield mishap. Not sure if Tejada completely to blame but I really do feel like blaming him Just following game cast online at work- I notice the mets forum is complaining about an erratic strikezone. Is this the case? Of course it's not an excuse for having a pathetic bullpen but just wondering... erratic strikezone yes, but I don't think it cost us the game. Simply bad pitching lost the game for us. The 3-2 to pitch before the Span hit I think was legit inside. Colorado Rockies 1976
Actually the GM who couldn't be bothered to address any of the team's numerous problem areas is to blame. 2013 Part Deux indeed.
