I’m sure he’ll eventually find his way to one of the pregame studios so that he can subject all of us to more of his antics. Terry Bradshaw won’t live forever, and Rodgers has just the right mix of arrogance and obnoxiousness to take his spot.
Edit: I’m not making light of Terry’s recent health issues, merely pointing out the obvious. Rodgers can’t not make everything about himself, so he’ll jump at the chance to have cameras on him every week.
I’ve two colleagues who live in the Salt Lake City area, and they’re hoping to eventually get an MLB team as well. It will probably be several years or even decades before that happens, however, as other cities are ahead of them in the line for an expansion team.
MLB Bringing Back Players Weekend
I’m really disappointed baseball decided to do this, as I’ve grown tired of gimmicks intended to attract a specific audience. If they want to make baseball more appealing to children, they can start by making games more affordable for families.
No argument there, but I wouldn’t write off the futures of Luke or Simon until they’ve played at least three seasons. It took Nico, Jesper, and Jack some time to settle into their roles, and defenseman typically has a steeper learning curve than wing or center.
Agreed. I don’t know how the narrative that they’re bad defensemen got started, but it wasn’t supported by what I saw from them this past season. Both had growing pains, but that was to be expected.
Even Fitz isn’t stupid enough to trade either of them. Any GM asking if they’re available deserves to be hung up on.
This is why I’m glad the Yankees didn’t get into a bidding war for Snell’s services or make a last-ditch effort to keep him out of San Francisco. They made an offer that they thought was fair, and when he didn’t take it, they moved on.
