Marshall
Yeah, I saw and read all the comments from players on him. I guess I would expect him to rack up some fighting majors and less game misconducts due to checking to head/from behind and the like. GA Devil
Thomson is putting up points. Kind of surprising since he was considered nothing but a goon when he was drafted. I know he's a little older, but maybe this is a sign of untapped offensive potential.
Triumph
Thomson is putting up points. Kind of surprising since he was considered nothing but a goon when he was drafted. I know he's a little older, but maybe this is a sign of untapped offensive potential. Hmm? Thomson had 41 points in 67 games last year. So he was contributing something then too. A little more surprising is that he has 11 PIMs in 9 games.
thefiestygoat
So far I'm impressed with Graham Black in his overage season. Almost a point per game: 5-6-11 in 12 with a +5 and just 4 PIM. Seems like he's a big part of Swift Current's success this year. I also just updated last night's post with Rodwell's stats and I updated Helgeson and Pietila's stats since the more informative game sheet was published after I wrote the post. thefiestygoat
Sunday 10/21 OHL Kitchener defeated Kingston 5-2 Ben Thomson LW: -1 Season: 10 GP 1-5-6 -4 11 PIM WHL Swift Current lost to Prince Albert 5-1 Reece Scarlett D: -1, 12 PIM (Cross-Checking, Misconduct) Season: 11 GP 0-6-6 E 8 PIM Graham Black C: Goal (PP), E Season: 13 GP 6-6-12 +5 4 PIM 7 points in last 8 games. Below is the hit that earned Matteau a major penalty and game misconduct. To be honest, I was expecting something a lot worse the way people were talking about it. It was a penalty but I don't think it was worthy of him being ejected. The other player really sold it well. We'll see if he faces another suspension. Chimaira_Devil_#9
I love the way the guy Matteau hits lies on the floor, holding his face motionless untill the comotion kicks off, then jumps to his feet and tries to fight Matteau. Derlique
He is, but only for one game, and there's a Blainsville-Boisibrand game tomorrow night. One by the league and one from his club He received his second suspension (1 game) of the year today. His team added an extra game despite his father being an assistant coach. The head coach was serious when he said he wouldn't accept his antics. http://25stanley.com/larmada-ajoute-...medium=twitter

Sounds like the whole team has had an issue with discipline and they are trying to make an example out of Matteau. I was really looking forward to watching a CHL Friday Night game that had a Devils prospect in it so this kinda sucks but I'll still take it since its hockey. Triumph
that hit was just dumb, not willful. seems silly to penalize him further, but i guess he's had two incidents already. he's got an NHL contract, his dad is assistant coach, might seem like BLB is his oyster until he goes to the AHL next year.
