Kovalev just looks lost on the Rangers. He doesn't have a Straka or Lemieux caliber center that can get him the puck so his goal production will probably drop next season.

We have enough quality depth to fill in for Mad-Dog for now. This isn't as bad as it could have been (ie injured in game one of the playoffs). Burns should just let him sit for a week and re-evaluate. We NEED him for the playoffs.

Lets put things in perspective here: half of his goals (15) are on the PP, at even strength he is -8. I like Sykie, but I still think we won that trade, especially since I have a feeling Tivo will come around in the playoffs.

In a two week evaluation since T-day, here is what the Devils have received going into the playoffs: Pascal Rheaume (from Atlanta): Rheaume is well versed in the Devils system having spent four-years in Albany. After 13 games trying to find a spot for Rheaume, he has begun fit in nicely centering Jim McKenzie and Turner Stevenson making the fourth line a viable combination. In the last five games the fourth line has registered: 5G-4A +9 and provided strong work along the boards. Lets not get carried away, the ONLY reason Blake is holding the Cup is because Roy carried them the entire series. Every time Blake was on the ice we got enormous chances.
