What's been the deal with the pre-season games this season, particularly for season ticket holders? Does anyone know offhand if they're still doing the vouchers for additional tickets and things of that nature? I'm actually kind of shocked at how much tickets are going for for the first game next Monday on StubHub, but I also haven't heard anything at all about the usual pre-season sales and things like that. Can anyone shed some light?

I don't think there was ever a 30th anniversary pin. I'm not 100% positive, but I went to a lot of games last season and don't recall ever seeing anything. 10th anniversary is slightly before my time so I have no idea there.

Logo was normal as far as I could tell (in that, I took no notice of it other than seeing it was there). I imagine if it was unusually small I'd have noticed.

There was a sign on the different player tees saying $28, on sale for $25. I actually like the lighter weight style, though I get why some might not. I find myself wearing my Zubrus SCF shirt more than any others for that reason alone (though it may just be because it's summer and I want my shirt to be as light as possible.)

Cricket Hill has been there for awhile as well I think. I know I've had it there once or twice. Not my favorite local beer, but it's something.

While I agree the team could be more open, I'll be mighty upset if the number policy changes. Maybe I've just gotten so used to it, but it feels unwieldy to see teams with random 62s and 78s and 91s. The occasional high number for a superstar associated with it (Jagr/68) is fine, but I rather like not having numbers over 40.

I think we'll have some sort of throwback-looking jersey that's not technically a throwback. Something in our current colors but with a more "classic" look - like New Jersey in script on the front in like a cream color, with the logo on the shoulders, and probably a lace-up at the neck because that's apparently classy and classic and throwback-y.

The one on Route 1 near Menlo Park Mall in Edison. Never, ever, ever again. Got really sick off of it, and the burgers weren't even worth the illness. Pretty sure it shut me off to all White Castle ever. A friend desperately wanted it last week and I got some rubbery chicken sandwich thing because I couldn't stomach the idea of eating a burger there. (I should not this terrible experience was when I was like 12, and has stuck with me for almost 20 years now.)

Burger Express in Carteret. Five Guys is good, and I liked Elevation Burger the one time I was there (Montclair, I think?). Oh, and LOLRangers or something.

Man, throw in Elias and Jagr (Zids?) for Czech and we've still only got five potential Olympians so far. Which is probably a good thing, a well-rested team heading into the stretch run may be necessary.

Yeah Jagr keeps 68, we make a ton in merch sales, and maybe our power play doesn't suck quite as bad as it could have yesterday. I like the deal. Hopefully it wasn't for a ton of money, but whatever. Now, if we could just nail down Brunner or Boyes, that'd be swell.

Pro Image Sports in Woodbridge Center Mall has Clarkson and Kovalchuk jerseys on sale for $60. Seems like a decent enough deal if 17 or 23 is re-issued, only have to switch out the nameplate. They've also got Kovalchuk tee shirts for $5 and Clarkson tees for $10, which amused me.

If we're gonna be in the Metropolitan division, then we should at least get top hats and monocles.

I have absolutely no desire to hate Columbus. It'll happen eventually, but they've overtaken Phoenix as my preferred Western Conference team over the last few years. My new Western team is the Ducks, for the record (Selanne/Koivu).

They're not booing, they're kazooooooooing. I like it. Also, I feel like this was missed in Has's post before, but TG mentioned about an hour ago that the game he mentioned yesterday may not be the opener after all, that it was an earlier version of the schedule. So we may have to wait until later in the season to unleash our vitriol. All the better, I think. Let opening night be about the current Devils, not the former ones.
