I'm 21. and I'm in MY LAST YEAR OF COLLEGE! SOMEONE HOLD ME, PLEASE! I'M SCARED!

The guy at my local hockey shop told me the blades on Mission skates break a lot, but he might've been talking about older models.

Anyone have any recommendations for mid-price (not much more than $200) ice skates?

Damn, it's a preseason game, and we played with few of our top guys while the Flyers played with Primeau, Recchi, Roenick, Amonte, Leclair... all seasoned vets. Just looking at the lineups you could tell we were going to get killed. I'll tell you what, though, what we did will pay off more in the long run than what they did, and what they did helped us. It's great for the young blood to face a legitimate NHL caliber squad. It's probably better we lost with our B-team against their A-team instead of our A-team beating their A-team or our B-team facing their B-team.

None of the site designs have had any sense of elegance, and this is no exception.

I was happy with the game. I was half expecting them to blow it in the end. I was also worried the offense couldn't get the ball in the end zone (red zone offense), but we got one, which calmed me down a bit. Let's hope the o-line stays healthy and the three early fumbles were just first game kinks.

3-5 years from now, Coyotes management meeting: "There's no color in our jerseys. What the **** were we thinking?!" I personally don't like them. I like the old school aesthetic, but you can't just do it verbatim. There's nothing interesting here.

Ron Dayne does not suck. Jim Fassel sucks. Fassel never gives Dayne a chance. He puts him in, then takes him out right away. At one point I remember Fassel saying he was going to play Dayne in the third quarters of games, but then he gets nervous and goes right back to Tiki. Dayne would be a good player if he got any time at all... any chance to develop. Hell, I could coach defense against the Giants: "When #21 goes in the game, he's getting the ball." Easy. It's All Tiki, All the Time.

My Thursday league is heading into the playoffs soon. My team is in first right now. We have a good team. I've gotten a lot better. Last night we played one of the other good teams without our top forward and top two defensemen. They had a full roster. We were tied 5-5 at the half, then they got 5 goals in like 2 minutes and wound up killing us. We played well, so it was disappointing. I got a goal and two assists, if you care. Hahahah. I got my eyes on the prize, baby.

This one was a really good one. "My Georgie is a good boy!"

But don't think that it's the only way to meet people. All the orientation people at my school kept saying, "I've met all my friends at orientation and they were my friends the whole four years!" So I got pretty scared when I didn't meet anybody cool at orientation. The people I hung out with at the beginning of school are almost completely different than the people I hang out with now. Be open to meeting new people, you'll be fine. I wasn't talking about "meeting friends"...
