Is anyone else worried that when the CBA changes it could change the cap hit to what the player makes that year instead of the average of the contract.

The interesting thing about this is that the NHL can retroactively disqualify the team when that player was playing. Ss if the NHL were to find that Hosa's contact is circumventing the cap then they could record every game he played in as a loss. So they would no longer have won the cup. The League would never do that of course, but it is available in the rules.

Devils will have an extra 7 mill in cap space next season. And another 10 the next year with Marty and Rolston.

Well he did play like he didnt want be traded against the sharks, he was skating better the usual.

I feel sorry for he guy, could be a great 3rd or 4th liner. He got screwed in san jose last year, they had way too much talent. Its too bad no other team picked him up.

I dont know, i think you get that extra edge when the forward is flying down the ice and you realize, that you have clemmensen behind you.

We couldn't get a puck past emery early, which killed our momentum. Then the softies hurt. But its not like marty has never had a bad game before, usually a great game comes after his bad ones. I think we need some better direction on the PP, and some better play in front of the net.

I hope the league gives him a decent shot when it comes to expansion time.

Better than last year. i think we have a good shot this year. Especially come trade deadline we will have some extra cash to rent a player for a playoff run.

He got too much money imo, but if he keeps playing they way he did, it could work out nicely for them.
