I already know the script for tonight. Devils will fall behind 2-0, quickly make it 2-1. That will be the score after two periods. Nashville goes up 3-1, quickly make it 3-2, then fade for the rest of the third period. Bam, second straight loss going into Vegas. Who thinks this really isn't going to happen tonight? On a lighter note, the Devils only play one game in the next 6 days after this one..................... There is no reason not to treat tonight like the 7th game of the SCF. Hall needs to be double-shifted tonight, period.

I don't see it turning around though. If you can't get your goalie to stand on his head, you have no chance down the stretch of the season. I thought Cory was fully capable at one point, but I think it's over for him. He can't constantly make routine saves any more, which gives you no chance in games.

The creator of this thread is being proven right. it's ridiculous to be outplaying good teams only to know you have no chance in these games cause the goaltending situation is a mess right now. i know that this team has defensive lapses in games too, but good goaltending will bail you out, which isn't the case here. In plain words, the panic button has been pushed.

It's a roller coaster ride, but like I said, this team has been trending downward for a long time and could easily be on the outside looking in come playoff time. Hard to swallow when they had a nice cushion to work with, which is all but gone now.

These games follow the SAME fvcking pattern. Fall behind, can't catch up. And it doesn't matter if they are playing well or not. Anyways, this team has been trending down for a long time and it would be an upset if they garner a playoff spot.

The Devils are great at falling behind by 2 goals and quickly getting the deficit back down to one, only to NEVER getting the equalizer. Tonight will be no exception.

Will tonight be the beginning of the end of the Devils having a playoff spot? Need a big third period with a few lucky bounces in there too.

How do you have 8 billion scoring chances and the other team has three........... and you are losing 2-0. Cant make this stuff up. Which means the Devils are on the brink of a goaltending disaster (if they aren't there yet).

I will cut him a little slack coming back from injury, but going forward he has to be a wall for the Devils to have a chance. And it would be nice for somebody not named Hall to get on the scoresheet for this team to have a chance too. Right now the cushion is gone and if they continue to play like this, the playoff spot will be gone too.

Because nobody besides Hall is doing a darn thing.................. this team can NEVER play with a lead.

Hopefully pucks stop going in against the Devils that go off legs, skates, arms, backs, etc.............. Starting tonight. I usually don't call games must wins during the regular season, but this one is a MUST win or this thing could easily snowball downwards for this inexperienced young team.

Step back from the ledge and just beat Vegas tonight. Others need to step to the table though. It can't be Hall and the Nobodies out there.

I posted this earlier, but............... I would love to see the Devils get Alex Edler. Ain't happening, but wishful thinking.

Is Alex Edler a fit here? And I wonder if Shero is looking into this? Will be 32 and is under contract for next year as well. i don't know, just throwing these names out there.......... Moore, Santini and another minor leaguer or draft pick enough to get it done? And would you want to do this?

It feels like The can play this game for 180 minutes and the Devils aren't scoring. Ridiculously frustrating.
