Slovakia just booted Canada from the World Championships tournament with a 4-3 win in the quarterfinals. Getzlaf took a 5 minute major when he knee-on-knee'd one of the Slovakian players with about 3 minutes left in a tied game. USA plays Finland in a little while today.

Did we? Nick Palmieri who wasn't really that good, Velli-who is completely replaceable by 5000 other players, and Kurtis 'I can't play D' Foster. Really all we gave up was a 2nd and 3rd round pick. So if you want to argue the 2nd and 3rd is too much to give up for Zidlicky that is an argument I can at least understand, but the players involved were just trash.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=631654 I'm a little surprised by this move but the article says he chose to step down to go back to the London Knights. In my opinion, he did an OK job but I think he may have stifled the creativity of Ovechkin and Backstrom a bit too much.

There was a presale Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening for certain individuals on a mailing list. After those were sold out, the final 1000 tickets for each game were sold in about 15 minutes this morning.

Did you buy tickets to any Rangers games this year? They excluded anybody who bought singles to a Rangers game. They said they excluded people who bought Caps tickets, too, but some of my friends who bought those tickets were included on the distribution. They are straight up lying when they say that. I got my set of 4 side by side for a potential game 7 at 11:14am. People are still pulling up singles.

Thats right. I had tickets for game 6 in this round which was refunded back to my card. As for nerves. I was at the Game 7 in 2003 when they won so I'm ready!

I was able to pick up 4 side by side in the section behind the goal where the Devils shoot twice if there is a game 7.

When you see prices like that it's usually brokers. They have the option to change all their ticket prices at once. Its just a way of them reminding themselves to go back and set their prices later.

It should be said that the florida panthers fans are among the best in the league. They are polite, passionate, and really proud of their team for pushing us to within a goal of elimination. if they won game seven I would have jumped on their bandwagon.
