Don, i'm totally with you EXCEPT when the Rag$ play the philthy Cryers. It's the ONLY time i root for them, but man, was their win against the Broadstreet Bawlers sweet.

so I'm putting on the DVD from 03, maybe i'll watch 2000 and 95 too and renew my faith in the organization. It IS the beginning of the season, right? we've got 78 more games to pick up the pace! I don't even get the game tomorrow and i'm 20 mins away from the frikkin arena. i wish i wasn't so poor!

i'm with Sue. The win on Saturday was a GIFT. We were asleep on our feet against the Rangers at home and it just became glaringly obvious last night. I love those boys, and i'm with 'em no matter what, but the level of play is pathetic. Mogs is being asked to carry a lot more than he's capable of, McGillis and Brown are pathetic. In positive news: White looks GREAT. I've been really impressed with his jump and willingness to step up. I still don't totally understand what happened to give him that 4 minute last night, but he's making hits and finishing checks and that was the first dumb penalty he's taken so far. Gionta still makes me happy b/c he's the smallest guy physically but emotionally he's 8ft 9 and 400lbs. Parise so far has shown he can play with the big boys too. It *is* early. But its no way to start a season.

i tivo'd the isles game and just saw the Dipietro injury. A caps player, crashing the net, fell OVER DiPietro who was down on the ice making a save. The guy hit him in the head and his shoulder with his feet/skates at some velocity. He tried to get up and had to clutch at the net to help him stand up. Really scary looking.

i went with a Rangers fan and friend of mine (former friend after all the gloating he did!) what i told him: First Katrina, then Rita, earthquakes in Asia, 4 days of straight rain and now the Devils are losing to the Rangers... Its Armageddon. Just wait for the 2nd intermission and 4 horsemen will ride out instead of zambonis.

i just got back from MSG oh the heckling was miserable. it was pretty sad, the passing was miserable, McGillis needs to go NOW and why did we call up Brown instead of Hale?? and i was having a good day!

I'd love for Mogs to be the shootout sniper but i just don't trust him yet. I'm afraid he's going to get all hurt and be useless a couple months in. I can totally see him camping out in front of the other goal and some meathead barreling into him causing him to go sprawling on the ice and careening into the goalpost. Besides, i like #26's dumb hair changes through the months and how he seems to change it up and alla sudden he's on a scoring streak again

I'm wearing my jersey on Thursday to the game at the Garden. Sure, i'll get heckled, but whatev, I'd heckle someone in a Rags jersey at a Devils home game, hell i'll heckle someone in a Rags jersey at a Rags home game. Its hockey, thick skin comes with the game and i think, generally, the crowds at MSG aren't violent.

My dad and my younger brother are Rangers fans. I couldn't get behind their ugly looking team when the Devils had better uniforms and a cooler name! Besides, I couldn't root for the same team they did during that 94 series!

Stan always strikes me as someones grandpa. You know, the one that tells dirty jokes when grandma isn't around and sliips you some whiskey at dinner. Matt just seems like the type of guy who cracks bad jokes but honestly thinks he's funny. I think i could hang out with Stan but I think i'd deck Matt in minutes

I'm with you on that. I don't remember White stepping up and making noise *and* hits like he's done so far this season. I really like what i'm seeing from him. McGillis has to pick it up- so far i'm not a fan It *is* early so i'm not going to make snap judgements about anyone yet, good or bad but some players are winning points while others are earning demerits real quick.

hahaha! i have the attn span of a ADD addled 2 year old and #4's been away for too long! bring me a younger less attached one! I'll still oogle him plenty i'm sure. insanity_gallops's icon distracts me every time i read one of his posts
