I like to take a bet on Hughes and give him 8kk, than take a bet after a couple of years and give 10-12. His today game worth it. Nico doesn’t worth 7.5 mil before, but now he play with mister lazy .ss Zacha and Boq-who?-vist and make a job and result for his money(Hayes as example, and he play better overall game than HPetterson). it’s a good strategy, when you have a crap roster and a lot under cap hit. Today it can look like overpayment, tomorrow it’s a cheap deal. How much Bratt will cost for the organization - is an interesting question.

Did we still need to draft Miro, especially when we draft Luke and zibillion LD after, in 2017 or Petterson, who has less points and can’t play defense/pk? it’s great to see how Nico growing up as a player. Hope he will turn back his speed/quickness. Injuries did hurt some part of his game. Fitz did make a beautiful job when he did sign Hughes.

Yegor is good when he play with good`s. After a giant season (khl, nhl, wc, olympic qual, preseason) he did have bad slow start. He has some problems, he is a bad passer, but it`s great to have him in our top-9. Hope he will grow more and will be more active physically.

Bratt - A+ - obvious here. Rough couple of games and great game after. Calgary game was a mess, but everybody have mess game. Someone doesn`t have any different. Mercer, Johnsson, Hamilton, Graves, Siegenthaler - B. Siegenthaler is good this year. When he play simple - he is very good for his role. Zacha, goalies, Bastian, Subban - C. I was consistent Zacha`s protector, but I can`t stand with his game this year. He was involved in game last year, but if he doesnt score this season, he is a shadow on the ice. THanks God, he scores sometime. Mcleod - C- or D+ I don`t know. Other guys - D. Smith G---.

Tatar and Bernier will not play after their deals. Johnsson`s and Wood`s future in the Devils is questionable. We will reseign Blackwood after two year and I don`t think it will be cheap. May be Graves will have big payment. But I think after locking Hischier and Hughes, Devils save pretty enough money for the rest of the team. Bratt and Zacha will not have more money than H\H. And like you said, would be great if Akira or Daws will be solid NHL backupers. They are pretty good in Utica. Everybody crazy about how good Dineen coach AHL team, but I would say goaltending is a big part of success.

That`s great we have Mukha and Hughes. To replace Smith and Severson. I don`t think Shakir is the next year NHL player. But now he is definitely. KHL or AHL next year - doesnt matter where, both options are good. Hughes is electric, thanks God we draft Nico and have our own very good two way center. Luke playin like a top offensive defenseman. Severson is a good puck moving defenseman who is great on the boards. Other than that - he svcks. Over and over. Big minutes, shorter minutes, he can`t defense on the open ice. Smith... I think he is pretty ok defensively, but he doesn't have Achilles' heels, he has Achilles' feet. Hope, Smith will gain some points in the next year or two.

About some bad 4th liners like Ilkka Pikkarainen - no one cares. 8-12 minutes of the game is still 8-12 minutes of the game. If you are not interesting in this minutes and how Devils will manage this minutes - it`s your business. When Bastian will svck and will have no upside consistently (some little scoring, defensive game, dangerous passes on the slot, physical game, pk) - everybody will be interesting in new players. This is workin with every plyaer on every line.
